Wireless intercom doorbell
This has been up for about a week now in an open porch and I'm in a first floor flat. So far it works perfectly, good clear sound at both ends and the doorbell is quite loud and the volume can be adjusted. The ring tones aren't the best but it only goes for about a minute if you don't answer it. At least I know when someone's at the door now so no more missed callers/deliveries.It's well made but I can't comment on how weatherproof this is as it's only been exposed to good weather so far. The last intercom doorbell, that I had bought recently, was made of very cheap plastic and just squawked a bit after a couple of days. This looks far better made and I bought it going by other peoples reviews.I'd have given it 5 stars but I want to make sure it's still working as well in the future. Time will tell, but I'm very pleased with it so far.UPDATE - I've had this doorbell for a few weeks now and it's in an open porch, we have had really heavy rain and it's still working brilliantly. I had a query about a flashing light on the handset so I gave the seller a call. They explained everything (there was no fault and all was working as it should) and couldn't be more helpful. I thoroughly recommend this product and the seller. Have now upped the rating to 5 stars.July 2016. Quick update. Doorbell is three years old now and still going strong and shows no signs of wear and tear. Batteries have only been changed once and the bell gets rung more or less daily.June 2018. Another quick update. Doorbell is still working perfectly and is 5 years old now. No sign of wear and tear.October 2019. Over 6 years old now and still working like new. Batteries for outside unit changed only three times, I think, since new. The rechargeable battery in the indoor hand set is the original it came with.

Not fit for purpose
On second unit in 2 years. Works for a while and then stops even on very short distance range. Not fit for purpose. People ringing unit assume it's ringing in house when it's not and then deliveries are missed. Do not waste your money.

Replaced without issue.
Initially it worked well for just over 12 months! But then the microphone in the outdoor unit packed up.Emailing the company to enquire about repair or buying a replacement outside part only produced a response to call the service department on a 03xx number. Having tried at various times of the day for nearly two weeks and always getting the engaged tone. They must have big issues with faults? I give up. Therefore quite expensive for one year’s use.UPDATE: After eventually managing to contact them by phone, they sent a replacement part without any issue which is quite genuine as it was out of guarantee!

Works well but expensive
I needed a portable doorbell chime that I could take into the garden/garage/attic, so that I didn't miss deliveries coming to the house. I read the reviews of the Siemens range on the B&Q website, which were universally negative, so decided against a regular wireless doorbell. I also thought it would be useful to have the doorbell ring my existing (Panasonic) DECT cordless phone handset, so that I would only need to carry one handset with me to answer the doorbell and take landline calls. Having thoroughly searched the internet, Response seems to be the only company offering a DECT doorbell. Siemens used to offer something for their DECT cordless phone range, but it has been discontinued. The Response product works well. It has a good range and is very loud on it's highest volume. It was easy to install and the Large (either C or D size, I can't remember which) batteries on the bell push have so far lasted three months of regular use (and Respone offer a mains adapter as an optional extra). However, I do think the CL6011B is very expensive considering that my Panasonic cordless telephone has two handsets and an answering machine for less than the price of the CL6011B doorbell.I was also hoping I could link the CL6011B to my existing Panasonic DECT base unit, so I would only need to carry one handset with me, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be possible.Overall, given that Response are the only company offering a DECT doorbell, I'm pleased with the product.

Loud so that you easily hear the door ring from a distance but will NOT turn down to a low volume if that is what is required. Limited, annoying ringtones. First one faulty after 6 weeks as base station rang handset but could not hear visitors voice to handset - in other words handset mic not working/ transmitting. Replacement also did the same, only this one worked ok after 'registering' handset to base station for a second time. Will see how long this one lasts!

Excellent product provided by first class supplier - Response Electronics
I ordered this item after 2 pm and received it the next morning - phenomenal speed of service! The intercom is easy to install (no wires) and my technophobic elderly mother finds it very easy to operate. It means that callers can be identified before opening the door and either turned away or asked to wait whilst my mobility-challenged mother takes her time getting to the door - no more missed callers!Overall, an excellent product at a great price!

Simple and effective
Bought this for my father-in-law so he doesn't have to keep going downstairs from his first floor flat to answer the door for random callers. Only installed it a month ago so can't comment on it's longevity but so far it works well and does exactly what I wanted it to. Well made for the price and easy to install (I also bought the outdoor weather shield). It is simple to use and not too complicated for an elderly relative.

Terrible screaming ringtones that don't stop until you Pick up PLUS it's not returnable!
Good looking piece of kit, worst nonstop ringtones ever. And now amazon says it won't accept a return because it's marked as having flammable liquids or gas. It's going in the trash, a total waste of 60£.Unbelievable.
