Superb little filter ideal for tight spaces or use as a supplementary to boost your Nano tankWorks well, very quiet too. I suspect finding new pads may not be easy but it's sufficient to just make one from a piece of filter foam.

Lovely and quiet, cheaper than most other filters when i bought it for £15 and it does a great job. The only thing i would reccomend is buying a sponge filter, taking the sponge part off and shoving it in the hob filter so there is permanent bacteria and its cheap. Would reccomend

Been trying for almost a month to have this filter work smoothly after following the instructions, keeping the correct water level, etc. - unfortunately I must have a faulty filter. The impellor sticks, so keeps completely stopping although the motor's still running attempting to spin the impellor. I've tried filing down the cylindrical part of the impellor so that it stops getting caught, which fixes it for a little while, then it stops againHad to decide on fully getting rid of this filter now, the impellor got caught again after maybe 2 weeks of working fine, I've been working and didn't notice, and the pump is now extremely hot and probably dangerous from trying to spin the stuck impellor

I use this filter for a tank next to my bed, basically silent and keeps the water crystal clear!

After less than 2 weeks use one a tiny shrimp tank it's pretty much giving up and the flow has almost halted completely!The filter isn't clogged it's the motor that has gone to a 1/4 its original flow rate somehow....You will be better off getting a sponge filter over this, they're cheaper, more efficient and effective and also provide aeration.Changed from 1 star to 3 because the seller gave me a refund on this and they didn't have too, this review is for the product 1* and the edit is for the kindness of the seller but the product is still 1 star in my eyes but maybe I got a dudd and for this price they can't be first class quality but you'd hope they'll last longer than 2 weeks either way.

Tiny hang on back filter but bigger than some filters. Frosted plastic makes it easy to inspect. Almost silent operation. Great price too.Comes with pre filter foam which most filters don't bother with which is crazy.Only downsides 1. it takes a plug socket. Would have preferred usb power. 2. The space for media is very limited but bigger than previous filter.

I am new to ' fish keeping '. Spent a small fortune on the learning curve. This filter has impressed me. Easy to set up and my goodness does it filter the water! I've had to clean this more than the other filters I've used because it removes more waste. It is only suitable for a nano tank as the only filter. I've used it in addition for a 30 ltr tank and by adding this it's kept the water cristal clear. I keep minnows so a strong filter is detrimental to the fish as they are not strong enough to swim away from the pull of the filter so by using a less powerful in tank filter and this nicrew waterfall filter, I have very happy fish and a healthy tank.
