Well, I already feel less depressed, but maybe it's just because I have a pretty light that's adjustable that will ideally help me fight the wintertime blues?The warm light on it is... sublime. Absolutely sublime. Can be bright, but is nicely diffused. Also has dimming function.The design of the lamp is exquisite. Thoughtful. Feet detach and easily attach. Aesthetic shape that looks at home in your interior. Nice diffusion of light, whether you're hoping for a good "wake up!" light or something a little less invigorating.I thought for the price it really needed to be next-level, and turns out, it absolutely is. Quality company with a quality product, and the concept is very elegantly executed. You may need the "clinical light" to feel better, but you don't have to make your home look like a clinic to get that need met.LOVE THIS - ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!And yeah, I do, after a very short time, feel better after several quality hours with my elegant lamp, but I'm not sure if it's the light? If it IS the light, I'll be wearing it around my neck like Flava-Flav and his clock and looking for available outlets wherever I go...

Living in the Pacific Northwest from late October to late March can be rough. It's not for everyone. One of the main reasons is the lack of sunlight. The constant gray and early darkness can overwhelm you if you're not careful. Taking vitamin D does help, but nothing replaces the brightness of the sun. That's where this therapy light comes in. Lumie has created a very quality light that you'll see from the packaging to the materials the lamp is made from. It has a heft to it that almost justifies the price. Almost.I have no issues with the quality, efficiency, or the looks of the light. I do wish, however, that there'd be a few must-have features for me. The first would be a remote. For $250, it would have been easy to have a remote to turn on first thing in the morning - say, if you were to want to lay in bed for a few minutes before getting up. Having to get up and physically turn the light on is a bummer. Secondly, if the remote isn't a choice, I'd love to have a programmable timer for it to turn on and off automatically. Many of these lights include an alarm setting, so you'd be able to wake up with the light. This simulates waking up to sunshine in the summer.Still, this light is a very quality product, but if you feel remote or programmable features make or break a purchase, look to other options. It's a shame because this light is lovely and has done our family well this Fall.
