how hard is it to squeeze the levers? My mother has severe RA so it's hard for her to squeeze anything.

Sorry about her condition. The levers are somewhat springy which MAY(?) make it difficult for her to operate. I believe that you have the option of return if it doesn’t work out for her.

How much weight does it support?

I’m 185 and it supports me easily

Would this work for someone who is short? I am around 5' tall

I ordered it because I have steps in my building that I need to navigate. I am 5 feet tall and it was way too tall for me on the lowest setting. I'm sending it back. I don't understand the 4'10" person who could use it because I can't use it. Maybe if you don't mind back strain you can make it work if you are on the shorter side. My husband is 5'7" and on the lowest setting it fit him. This product is not designed for shorter people. If you are short, save yourself time and effort and don't buy this product.

I see the dimensions there but can't tell what is what. How wide at the widest is it please?

If you buy one with wheels Widest : 23.75 inches If you buy the one without wheels Widest : 21.5 inches
