Ethics: Theory and Contemporary Issues

I don’t think that I have ever taken the time to write a review on Amazon, but this interaction has compelled me to do so. I would tell buyers to be very, VERY cautious with this purchase because the language used is extremely misleading. Purchasing a new textbook (which is what my purchase order reflects and what my intentions were) usually means that no one has owned the book and that it comes complete with codes to access online resources. It’s a logical assumption, but even if I erred in that regard, further descriptions from “the publisher” leads you to believe that your purchase comes with unlimited access to their online course materials, which I am required to have for my class. The book that arrived is in perfect condition, but with one tiny, glaring problem - the online code does not work. When I contacted Amazon, they told me to contact the publisher. Published couldn’t do anything about it. So now, I have an expensive textbook that doesn’t fulfill the necessary requirements I need it for. I have an expensive paperweight, instead. Beyond disappointed because, yes, I can return the book, which I plan to do, but I’m losing valuable time for class and the work I need to do. I’m starting off behind, which is not appreciated.All that to say, just make sure there is an online code included, even if the book is listed as “new,” because this order DID NOT.

I rented the book because I did not want to purchase it for the class. I started reading the first chapter and was lost. It was really boring and confusing but I didn't care for the class either. I really didn't need the book at all. I would have passed the class without it.

I'm taking a class that requires this book but I need to be able to read it on the cloud. Weird situation but I can't legally download the Kindle software to my work computer. I periodically have time to read during the day and wish I could read it in this medium. Cengage, why have you done this and limited a valuable resource? I certainly won't be looking for your material in the future.

I absolutely love this book, rented it for my ethics class and the information was relevant to the social issues we face today.

Crashes often and is slow to load. No search function, even for parts I highlighted. Never had this problem for other digital textbooks that I have rented.

Book was boring but it did the trick for the semester. When I got to chapter 15 I noticed pages that had been ripped and glued back together. Sure how they don’t try and charge me for those since I didn’t do it. However like I said it was want I needed for the semester

This was used for Philosophy 102 class, it was alright for the class, required for the college class. Nothing spectacular about the book.

Ya no lo compre

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! they claim its new but it clearly isn't as my access code didn't work! They claim you'll have access to mindtap but you won't because someone has already entered your code. Really disappointing, feeling really scammed. Please do not buy!
