This is the second lock I have from the brand Gudlaif and it still works perfect!The keyless entry is obviously heavier and more durable. The installation is same easy as previous on so I only spent 20 minutes finishing it.The shape feels like classic and the keypad is silicone, soft, comfortable, a great combination of modernity and retro I really like it!Actually it is equipped with multiple unlock ways, fob, keys, code, fingerprint, app. I also bought a G2 gateway from Gudlaif, it can connect door lock so that I can control my lock remotely via WIFI. Nice idea!In the first few days, I tested the lock over and over again. It responses quickly and automatically locks as antipated. My son plays with it whole day hahaha.The price deserves its high quality. I will recommend it to my friends!

My first smart lock ever, used it for our garage entry. Just to emphasize, this is a door lock with handle NOT a deadbolt as Amazon categorizes it (that’s a difference).The hardware was very easy and simple to install, all parts were clearly marked and fit, instructions were reasonably simple and clear.The programming was a little more cumbersome; as I said, I’m a novice and had to learn terminology and especially the app;A note of WARNING, or TIP: be very patient and slow while using app, read and listen to prompts (if u skip a step or don’t wait “operation failed” will become ur nemesis, and you will have to get out of app, reset Bluetooth, wait etc before trying again).And even then, the app connection via Bluetooth was not very stable, I Sat not 2 ft from door lock, and it disconnected multiple times.The instructions were relatively clear as well, so it’s really the app it seems.The final result: keys work (obviously), passcodes work 100%, so does the swipe cards; fingerprints unfortunately work only about 30% and we have gotten ourself in alarm mode, where it completely locked us out for an extended period. No instructions how to override, fortunately someone was inside and could open from inside, which unblocked the pad to use Passcodes. Haven’t used the e- keys yet to unlock via phone (basically via NFC). The records section does show entry times but again you need to be connected via Bluetooth, so very close to door.To make it really “Smart” you need a gateway, unfortunately the instructions say NOTHING about which type, if it can be any brand etc.Smart means unlocking from away, controlling or monitoring from away, assigning additional or one time codes, all the cool stuff.While I don’t hold not including the gateway against the pro cut, that it doesn’t mention which one IS a minus; not reacting properly to the fingerprints is another; the app sync and drops I cannot determine if product or app, the app is obviously NOT proprietary to the product company. Difficult to rate; 3.5? Giving it the benefit of doubt for now: 4 STARS-> (*RATE SCALE*: 5=perfect; 4=minor imperfections; 3=on fence; not sure if I’d buy again; 2= too many problems; 1= shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous).

Installed it as instructed. But after a few days with the batteries were drained. Thought it was the batteries so I went and bought new ones and still the same thing happened. Thank god I had the keys with me or I would have been stuck outside.

This product is very sturdy. I’ve bought several others and they break so quickly. This one however has worked so well. I put it on my security screen and I absolutely love it and how safe and secure a feel now.

Nice features and easy installation

I ordered this as a replacement, so the holes were already done and in the correct position for easy installation. Only needs a phillips head screw driver and the included allen wrench. It's helpful to have a second person to hold things, but not necessary. The materials seem to be of decent quality and once the unit is installed, it feels very solid. It has nice gaskets and the handles have a nice feel. I was a little surprised that the handles are only held on by a single allen screw. It takes four AA batteries, not included. It has an app that makes setup an absolute breeze! You can use a random generated code or your own. You can set up temporary codes. Auto-lock can be used or not. It has a passage setting so you could set up a period during the day or night that the door stays unlocked once you unlock it, then auto-locks. Lots of customization options. Of course there is a regular key, and the pass keys, AND the app locks or unlocks it! So many options. The fingerprint option is easy to set up as well, but using it isn't 100%. Sometimes it works, other times it fails. My fingerprints work more often than my elderly (81 yo) husband, which is typical of many fingerprint locks. This one is better than others I have recently tried. But with so many other options, it is not a huge deal. Make sure that you have adequate clearance if there is a screen door outside or inside where you'll install this. It needs a good 3 inches clearance. Also, the instructions say that you must install this above any other deadbolt you have installed. I would have preferred it the other way around.
