How they got into Harvard : Review by Atul Laddu
I have been counseling young High School students for the past several years on a voluntary basis. I bought the book "How they got into Harvard" from Amazon. When I read the book, I was amazed at the various techniques used by the applicants that helped them get into Harvard ! While several of the techniques used by the applicants were already in use in my teachings, I benefited from many of the most unique techniques I found in the book. This book thus is one of the most important sources of material that should be read by every High School student, not when they are in the Senior year, but when they enter Freshman year. Highly recommended to every High School Student !

'They' Got Into Harvard, But Will You?
As contributing editor of How To Get Into Harvard , I've read a series of admissions guides. How `They' Got Into Harvard is among the very best. This rendition of Harvard's admission process is informative rather than instructional. Harvard's policies alter each year and as a consequence this work touches on the enduring principles of a worthy Harvard application. It does so with success stories written by students who have negotiated many of the hurdles before you. These students demonstrate the varied national, academic and extra-curricular backgrounds Harvard plays host to.While How `They' Got Into Harvard may not be how `You' get into Harvard, this book is required reading for any student set to brave the admissions gauntlet.

If you want to get into Harvard read research, not essays
I'm a Harvard alumna. If you want to understand how admissions decisions are made, there's plenty of academic research on Ivy League admissions. A short, helpful, research-based essay is "Getting In: How Elite Schools Play the College Game," by Shamus Rahman Khan. I am not affiliated with Khan in any way. I simply recommend parents read the essay.

Getting into college
Very informative and helpful guide for parents and students in planning for college. I have bought several copies to share with friends and relatives in Europe who have kids who plan to attend college in the US. However, AMAZON did not allow me to purchase more than three copies for my first order but, was allowed after the second order.
