It took me all of about two seconds to know this pedal is badly designed. The volume knob on the side is totally in the way of normal patch cord setup on your pedal board. The cord has to go above the knob and rests on it because there is no clearance below it. The cord then obscures the numbers on the volume knob and if you stomp on it and hit the cord (because it is above the top surface), the volume may change unintentionally. I can't quite figure out what Keeley was thinking to allow so basic an error. (By the way, it sounds really good.)

Does what they claim. Very neutral and transparent boosting of the un-effected sound. Adds just right amount of fullness and dynamics without changing much of anything else. Increase in the output to amp will drive the front end a little or a lot but doesn't change the basic tone otherwise. Pulling out the knob does add more grit and drive, but there is that choice. I tend to use it with the knob in and only slightly above unity, but all settings are musical and useful. I also use a Durham Sex Drive, another very good cleanish boost pedal. By comparison, the Sex Drive changes the tone more noticeably, but also sounds great in a different way, just not quite as transparent. Both are built very well and are totally pro-grade.

Not the one pictured, got what seems to be the older model. Works as expected just wanted the one in the picture.
