I needed a screen in my truck
This radio will do. It has a good size screen and it's a touch screen. This unit does come with a remote, though, and not only that, it also came with controls for the steering wheel.I didn't need the steering wheel controller but the remote control works very well. The radio and sound is decent and it has Bluetooth. Connecting my phone was easy as installing this unit. For me, all I had to do was pull my old unit and pop this one in connect Android Auto and rock out.The reverse camera has great picture quality and it displays a parking guide on-screen that truly help getting into those tight spots but so worrisome.Overall this carplay radio is decent and I like it.

Basic upgrade for a basic stock AM/FM radio
If you have a basic stock AM/FM radio in your car and want something a little better without spending much money, this will do it.After not being able to locate all the extra parts I needed to install this head unit I decided to bench test it. I'm glad I did! Installing this in my car would have given me some useful benefits such as a backup cam (not included), a dash cam (not included), and being able to have hands free calling via bluetooth. But, it would not have been much of an upgrade since my radio also has speed compensated volume (volume increase as car speed increases). Plus I don't know how well this head unit will play with the speaker system already in the car.The good:* The screen comes on instantly when powering on and the screen is bright. I did notice a very faint hum when dimming the screen.* Touch response is fast and switches between apps (radio, usb music, bluetooth, etc) quickly.* The USB stick with folders of music I inserted was found quickly and started playing right away when I tapped the USB app icon.* The sound was good.* The equalizer presets worked as did manually adjusting each slider.* Bass boost worked, but seemed to cause clipping at the same volume (probably due to my speaker setup). The bad:* I was unable to get the backup cam I had to work with the head unit -- that was due to the cheap backup cam I had on hand. I didn't have a dash cam to test with.* Slight hum when dimming the screen.* Clipping when using bass boost at same volume level (probably due to my speaker setup).Overall, it's not a bad little head unit if you need something a little more than a stock AM/FM radio in your car. If you're looking for a big upgrade, budget an extra $100-$150 and start looking at that price point. If I'm able to get the additional parts needed to install this head unit, I might just to see how well it works. If I do, I'll update this review.

Basic replacement - not an upgrade
This car stereo presents itself as a viable option for those seeking to replace their basic stereo system. Offering features like Wireless CarPlay, 1080P HD Touch Screen, and compatibility with Apple Carplay/Android Auto, it promises modern connectivity and convenience. However, upon closer inspection, it falls short of being a significant upgrade. While it provides essential functionality, it lacks the wow factor that truly elevates the driving experience. One notable downside is the absence of installation pieces, requiring additional purchases to complete the setup. This oversight adds inconvenience and extra expense to the process. Despite these drawbacks, the stereo may serve adequately as a replacement for outdated systems. However, for those seeking a substantial upgrade with advanced features and seamless installation, other options might be more suitable.
