Swinging mailbox post
Install was straightforward and seems sturdy once it's in the ground 24 inches or so. Mounted up to the mailbox nicely too. Solid product and looks good.

works as advertized.
Works as advertised. The snow plow got us a couple of times this year but there was no permanent damage, thanks to the swing-away mailbox post arm. Sometimes it doesn't swing back to the center on its own, but it's an easy fix to just push it back into place. Much better than dealing wtih a crumpled mailbox or fully smashed post.

Great solution to snow plow issues
Although a little costly, so far it is well worth it. Snow plow had previously destroyed 2 mailboxes by its hurling snow. This setup has handled it well so far. Due to a slope from a drainage ditch need to get the longer one. So make sure you measure in order to purchase the correct size. Only periodic issue is sometimes does not return back to position. I can deal with that since there was no harm to the mailbox.

From G. M. Pole mailboxes take more of a beating than posts. No more wooden post mailboxes for me.
Best mailbox I've ever had until someone ran off the road hit it and totaled it. But I'll definitely get another one immediately! I live in the snow belt and on heavy snow days the plows don't even come close to budging it like they did when I had the wooden post one. No worries and I'm not an employee of the owner of the mailbox. Plus I've. Had it for at least 7 years. Easy to install just follow the instructions. Go to your nearest post office to find out how it has to be installed. If you install it properly my money says you won't be disappointed.

Well made, not the best instructions
Ordered the 30” version to provide more flexibility given uneven terrain. Unfortunately, the instructions 1) *assume* you have the 24” version for measuring how deep to go (I didn’t think of this until too late) l, and 2) don’t include actual measurements of each pipe and the over-sleeve portion you shouldn’t count. It’s difficult to measure things yourself since the pipe sleeves have gradients (can’t tell where they start and stop with confidence) and the angles of the mailbox bracket aren’t square to the post. To compensate, you need to do a lot of measuring, double-, and triple-checking. After simulating fit and checking so many times - I was still 3” too high after I trusted those measurements enough to attach the middle extension pole. Unfortunately, it seems very, very difficult to remove the middle extension pole once attached. So I have a mailbox that’s too high.
