If you are meaning the visor, there is a plastic inserted and it is hard (but if exert strength, you can still bend it). 1-10 level from softest to hardest, I would say 7. It’s not puffy filled with cotton. It looks that way in the picture only. It does have a satin lining that I love. The way the hat is designed to wear the top sits close to you head which makes it look puffy.
