I am a fitness freak. I have all sorts of exercise equipment like station gym, Elliptical, Treadmill. I have used various dumbbells as well. This one is just extraordinary. The reasons I love them: 1.The shipping packaging came out good. Even though it is a heavy product, but the packaging was intact. 2. There is a suitcase like storage which is very unique to keep the unused dumbbells. 3. There are pads to keep the dumbbells when using them. The best part is they are real steel. Most of other dumbbells are electroplated which comes off over time. These are real steel & will remain intact for ever.

Everything is great. Only issue i had was the box came damaged.

How many ways to say "Beautiful"! These are quite classy! I don't know what type of steel these are but maybe stainless? They don't look plated or coated. As you can see in my pictures the last two are threaded creating a secure hold. The other weights are not threaded. The bars are 0.78 inches in diameter but the handle part you hold is thicker with a very hard plastic cover "Grey & yellow" that's contoured for the hand. If you desire to turn these into a full barbell the center bar (2 lbs) is supplied which is hollow with threads at each end. You simply leave off the last locking plate and add the bar instead. I agree with other reviewers that it would certainly be nice if the weight was etched on the plate rather than a temporary sticker. You can add third party plates if desired but I think they will be ugly compared to these! You may wonder why the plates are so spendy but you'll understand once you see and hold them! I'm my pics you can see the 88lb version as well as the 44lb version. I bought both to open up possibilities of weight combinations with both.

The weights look great and all the pieces arrived in seemingly good condition, but half the draw for me was the case as this was a weight set for me at work. The case is broken in multiple areas. To be expected I suppose with so much weight but I suppose I would have expected better packaging so everything could arrive in one piece. I look forward to getting to use this set
