This bed rail system is great for anybody who needs some help getting out of bed safely. The build quality is great and it feels very sturdy. Setup was easy and intuitive, but if needed there are also simple instructions printed directly on the packaging so there are no extra pieces of paper to throw away. The adjustable height worked even with my very tall mattress. I was able to pull the rail out from beneath the mattress with some effort with nobody on the bed, but the weight of a person should keep it secure when actually being used. The included screws are an easy solution if that is a concern.

The base is wide enough and fits securely against the mattress. The two level handle is perfect for assisting me getting into and out of bed. The equipment is well made and I would choose this one again.

I bought this for the RV bed over cab. I liked this one better due to the bottom rails being flat and the width of the footprint. It works great and is very stable. it's reversible so you can put the high part on either side.

Straightforward enough, very easy installation just in seconds. It’s actually steady enough that the three extra screws included are a little excessive, I haven’t used them. The side bag is good for a night light or a remote control, I removed it since I don’t need it. Be sure to try different sides, the top bar can be removed to flip the lower/upper side towards your head, whichever way is easier for you. Good product for the price.

This rail is well designed in that it unfolds, and is almost ready to be used.Raising the rail is quite difficult- the buttons that you have to push in to slide the padded rail up are very stiff. If the person who will be using this has arthritis, they will need help. Also, the pouch needs to be un-velcroed before attempting to raise the padded rail, or it will make your life really difficult.Once set up, the horizontal bar slides under the mattress. Unfortunately, it has no weight. It's just the weight of the mattress holding it down. If the padded rail could be extended about 8 inches higher, it would be easier to put direct downward pressure on it. At the full extension, though, it's combined horizontal and vertical pressure, and the bottom bar and mattress may not be heavy enough.Honestly, I expected a safety rail to have more heft, or for there to be a way to attach the rail to the bed frame, or to the wall, or even to the floor. But there isn't. I think it's durable, but it really doesn't seem to be that secure, for a person with mobility issues, as in our household.I'm not sure what circumstances would make this a useful piece of equipment- it's too short, too light, and the width of the bottom horizonal piece means that it can't be attached to the wall.Think carefully about whether you need this rail to stay upright when you put weight on it. If so, this is not the rail for you.
