These are a perfect set of skates to keep on hand at home for casual skating!The button makes it pretty easy to adjust.The lining seems well padded. My kid hasn’t complained about any discomfort yet!I definitely recommend these skates!

My nextdoor neighbor has kindly assisted me in constructing a temporary ice rink in his backyard for several winters now, so I picked out these skates as a surprise for his older son, who is finally getting big enough to actually skate.Let's be clear: these aren't the sort of skates you'll need to buy if your kid is starting hockey. They're not made for that sort of movement or abuse. But if you're looking for skates that will let your kid enjoy the ice on a local pond, or avoid having to sort through the rentals at a rink, these will do nicely!The skates have a nice, cozy lining, which is something that you'd never find in a "regular" hockey or figure skate, but which is great to have if you're gliding around outdoors (or indoors!) on a cold winter day. I think the added padding will also help to provide a closer, more comfortable fit straight out of the box, since most "real" skates have to be baked (yes, really!) to tailor the fit to your foot.The blades aren't particularly sharp, but seem to be cut in a proper curve and are good enough to get you started. You can easily get them re-sharpened at an ice rink, and possibly at local sports stores. The blade covers are rudimentary, but do the job of protecting your blade edge—and your fingers or bag, so hang onto them.Best of all, you hopefully won't have to buy another pair for a year or two, since these skates expand a couple of sizes to grow with your kid. Definitely not a feature you'll find in expensive hockey skates!I'm looking forward to giving these skates to my neighbor's son, and recommend them highly for other young skaters taking their first steps on the ice.

First off, adjustable sizing! With the push of a button and a bit of pulling, these skates can be adjusted as your child's feet grow. Try to find that at your local ice skating rink! The interior is cushioned which is another nice feature on a cold and icy day. The padding also helps to keep the skate in place which translates into a safer experience. Instructions tell you to have the blades sharpened before first use for best results. Overall, I'm very pleased with these and my grand niece was over the moon. She loves to skate and dance and do all things acrobatic so this was a big hit with her. The cost was reasonable and the quality of the product seems good.

My daughter is getting has outgrown her figure skates, and wanted to try some hockey style skates. These are great. They are well made, has a handy strap at the top so you can keep it snug to your ankles. And they don't come rundown or get loose while skating.The skates came pretty sharp, but I am going to have them sharpened anyways.The skates are well built, and are great for anyone looking to learn how to skate. The sizing was a little confusing, so be sure you pay attention to the sizing.Great product highly recommend. 5 star product!
