Curt Manufacturing 56147 Vehicle-Side Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness,Fits Select Toyota Prius

I like the fact that I didn’t have to cut and splice wires. This kit took out the guess work of finding the correct wire to splice into.

It overall worked great, but a few minor issues:First, the double sided tape had zero stickiness.Second, the zip ties are a bit short and feel extra cheap.Third, and not the kits fault, getting the plug fed through the grommet hole and out of the vehicle was really annoying and took the most time. Hooking everything up was 10 minutes, getting the plug out took a solid hour.Overall, it works well and you should buy it. I installed it on a 2010 prius.

I watched a couple of YouTube videos, but I probably could have figured it out without them or the instructions. Everything fit like it should. The only critique I have is that it should have come with some 3M heavy duty double-sided mounting tape to affix the little box to the back of the spare tire well. Fortunately I had some of my own and between that and the included zip ties, everything is nicely tucked away. The length of cable is also really nice.

I'm just glad for everyone who decides to put a hitch and trailer hookup on their Prius! This certainly will not answer every hauling need but it will help save fuel and money with quite a few.Great instructions with pictures specific to my car made it easy to install this wiring harness in my 2010 Prius Five. There was plenty of wire to reach all the places needed to plug it in. The directions suggest finding a screw for attaching the ground terminal but I could not really locate any that would work in the area so took it directly to the negative side of the battery. Installation took close to half-an-hour.I opted not to run mine out through the rubber drain plug under the spare tire as I could already see a little corrosion built up there. I wanted to keep the plug end and the underside of the spare nice and clean. Instead, I just run it out the hatch door when I use it. It pinches firmly enough in the rubber gasket to hold it in place but not too much to damage the wire. I do need to remember to stay clear of the latch in the middle when I feed it out toward my trailer tongue.It was such a great feeling of satisfaction when I plugged this into my trailer lights and everything worked the way it should. If only all of life could be as simple and fulfilling.

Its plug & play, easy to install just install the wiring behind the interior panel. Hardest part is to run the 4pin connector under the Rear bumper

Just plugged in at each light, then attach ground and connect to battery. Use ties to bundle wires and ready to go. Prius already had plugs.

Curt 56147 Prius trailer lights harness. Install was easy enough and it works as it should. Packing it efficiently into the space instructed was a PIA but it's in there. There really isn't a goid place to adhere the module as the wire stiffness over powers the double sided mounting pad so I just wrapped and taped it with poly foam and carefully tucked it in there. The connectors were easy to use. I don't think the Reese unit requires a separate power source direct to the battery which required removing some covers and brackets, not a huge problem,but time consuming. The room for attaching the ground lead I'd very limited so I drilled a pilot hole with a drill bit b4 using the self tapper, saved some hassle getting it to start

Bought to install on my 2009 Prius and it was super easy to install. CURT makes these kits easy for the average car owner to be able to install themselves.
