You'll need to read and reread the operating instructions. (Maybe write down the steps so you don't forget like I did and had to figure it out all over again.) Appears it was translated from another language for the European market. Once you figure out how to set time and hardness level then it's a go. Stick to any recipe with a total of 3-4 cups of liquid. More than that and the mixture will expand over the metal bowl necessitating extra clean up. Check ice cream at the 20 minutes mark. One batch I made with pureed strawberry froze up quickly and the machine stopped working. Too thick to move. Cleans beautifully and is fairly quiet as demonstrated in the video. Well made and worth the purchase price!

Makes great ice cream. Creamy and delicious. Easy to use. And bonus it keeps it cold on your counter. Worth it!

ice cream maker review I own two ice cream systems. One is a soft serve and the other is a 1 qt machine. Both rely on bowls that must be pre frozen for at least 24 hours. They work well but I hated the planing, space and delay required if you wanted to make additional ice cream. The price and timing were great for this Vevor 2qt upright machine. I have had great success with other Vevor products so gave this a try. It is great. We have guests in town for a week and I was able to make 3 back to back ice cream flavors. It works well with custard (egg based) and non egg based ice cream recipes. The overrun, lofting, or volume increase is such that it is safest to limit the original volume into the bowl to about 1 quart or 1 liter. The instructions are a bit confusing but look for YouTube reviews and you will see that it is very easy to use. Turn it on Select ice cream hardness Press go…. Two things. I “thought” I remembered seeing that the bowl, paddle and cover were dishwasher safe. Washing them in the dishwasher top rack resulted in a slight smoked appearance on the clear see through top. Vevor recommends hand washing.. Still very usable. Second thing.. Lefty Lucy, Righty Tighty does not work for the top. Tighten CCW, Unlock CW. Overall great product.

This is a complete failure. It stops churning every few minutes once the mixture is semi frozen. you have to get it churning manually and it will go for another few minutes before stopping again. The noise from the motor and compressor is also much louder than expected. Dont bother with the manufacturer’s customer support. They have zero technical knowledge of their products. I would give this brand a miss. Waste of my time.

It’s quite but it does not make 2 qts it only makes about 1qts I don’t like the fact that the bowl get stuck in the machine & you have to wait to get it out I think I will return for a different machine also I put hard ice cream it still made soft I do believe I will just return but it is a good machine with small flaws.

Was excited to get this machine but once I got it unpacked I was disappointed since the machine I received was missing the mixing bowl that the ice cream is churned in so without that it’s useless. Contacted Amazon but they can’t seem to get the missing bowl to send to me so now I wait for a replacement to be sent just hoping the Got replacement has all of its parts. Will update when the replacement arrives. The machine looks pretty good with one exception which is the fact that the front control panel is not mounted flush with the outside of the unit. Not sure if this manufacturing defect affects the operation since I never plugged the machine in and turned it on since I had no mix bowl. It would just look better if the control panel was flush with the rest of the machine! Will review again after replacement arrives. Finally got replacement and it’s complete. So far I have made two batches and the machine works just fine. You get creamy soft serve in about 40 minutes. For those of you new to these type of ice cream makers I think it’s important to explain how they work. A lower cost machine like this aren’t designed to make ice cream like what you get at the grocery store. If that’s what you want you must buy a commercial batch ice cream maker for several thousands of dollars. These affordable machines for home use are made to produce soft serve consistency that you must finish in your home freezer. It’s important to use some type of stabilizer in your ice cream base or your soft serve will freeze rock hard it will taste good but be hard to serve. I use cornstarch or xanthan gum and I get grocery store like ice cream after finishing in the freezer. Read up on ice cream stabilizers before using them because too much can make your ice cream gummy. Pinterest is a good source for info about stabilizers for ice cream. Once this machine makes the soft serve it will switch to a freeze and hold mode that is go if you have your stabilizers right but if you don’t the ice cream freezes hard you can’t remove it from the machine until it warms a bit. I’m giving this five stars now that I have the complete machine

Perfect. I make sherbert every other day and it comes out like store bought. First day I didn't know how to use it. After seeing a few videos finally learned, I'm very pleased

I wanted to love this but I don’t. Pros: it’s easy to clean, it’s not extremely loud. Cons: instructions don’t make sense- I’ve combed them and still don’t know if I’m using the machine to its full potential. Annoying, but my biggest issue is that it does not freeze evenly. After churning, the center of the container is soft serve consistency and the edges are frozen solid. This means you can’t remove the plastic stirring blade and makes removal of the product extremely difficult. I plan on returning it.

We are pleased with this unit. Makes ice cream in under 40 minutes depending on desired hardness setting.

It's easy to make ice-cream now and not have to overpay for sugar free, lactose free ice-cream in the store. If you have space in your home it's a great gadget to have.
