Q: Boughth walking westie dog. just arrived and despite putting brand new batteries in, it doesn't work at all. is there some hidden on/off switch?

No it should work by pressing the buttons on top of the blue handset

Hello, when putting in the batteries, please do not tighten the lid too much. Sometime, this breaks a connection and it appears that the toy doesn't work, however, it does work when the lid is not tightened too much and the connection with the batteries is good.

From the start of the lead to the hand grip on blue hand grip is roughly 32 ins

Q: Is this ok for a boy? it says it's for girls in the description! wondering if it has something pink hidden somewhere??

Bought this for my son and he loved it. Good quality for the money. I would say no problem for a boy or girl as it's just a lovely puppy. Hope this helps.
