Wake / sleep function does not work on iPad Air 2.
Nice looking case. Seems well made and I expect it to last a while. Will update if it doesn’t. The reason for the 3 star rating Is that the wake / sleep function does not work on my iPad. My old case was an Incipio case. I JUST replaced it 5 minutes ago. It was worn out but the wake / sleep function worked fine. It IS turned on in my settings. I have a iPad Air 2. This case fits perfectly but that feature does not work on my iPad.OK.....update. I tried to reply to the reply from Fintie and the website kept telling me that there was an error and to try again later. I've tried again later twice with no success, so I just cut and pasted what I was trying to type into a reply here:I am here to revise my review of this case. I figured out a day or so after getting the case that I had the iPad inserted upside down in it. It fit well that way. It seemed intuitive because there is a cutout on each end of the case. One is for the camera and one is for the home button. Since the home button is round, it seemed to make sense to put the round cutout on that end. I was wrong. The camera goes in the rounded cutout and the home button goes in the square cutout. Once I had it properly inserted, everything worked perfectly. Rather than just revising my feedback and being done, I figured it would be better to leave it as is and post the update here for others to see, not only that I would own up to my error but that Fintie reached out to help resolve the problem. I actually tried to revise the review a few weeks ago and didn't seem to be able to. I only discovered today that it must be done on a computer with the latest version of Java installed. I'd been trying on my iPad and it wouldn't let me. So, I'm revising my review to 5 stars after several weeks of use. I'm very happy with the case in terms of fit and function. Thanks again to Fintie for reaching out to resolve the problem.

“This Fintie model finally corrects some frustrating issues...”
I have owned three Fintie iPad cases. For the price, they are pretty good. Unfortunately, after about a year they begin to crack, as well as slip off their prop when one tries to set it up for viewing. This is Fintie #4, and it appears the problem has finally been addressed!A new prop has been added. No longer (the dreaded) grooves (at least on this model), but instead, sewn strips. In short this is a huge improvement! But wait...there’s more. The magnets which put the unit to sleep also actually hold the cover shut quite well. No need for a strap.Time will tell if all this holds for more than a year. But as for now, this is the best Fintie yet, and at a price that makes the buy a no-brainer.

Excellent iPad Cover
This is a very nice cover. It is well made from materials that are of high quality and the fit and finish are first class. I prefer this type of cover for several reasons: the iPad enters sleep mode when the protective cover is closed; the cover acts as a stand with three stops for different viewing angles; and, it is comfortable to hold while using the iPad. I use my iPad for several hours each day and I really like this cover.

Protective and beautiful - beauty doesn’t hold up.
Love this case. It fits nice and snug and is beautiful. It protects my iPad nicely as well.Update - Down grading my review because, after using this case for a few months now it is aleReady showing massive sign of wear & tear. The colors are fading, the fron cover is no longer tight and the stitching is starting to fray. I probably will not buy another one as I look for items that are more durable.

Can't Go Wrong for the Money
This is a very serviceable cover for the 2017/2018 regular 9.7" iPad. I applied a glass screen protector and it still slid right in with no difficulty. No tacky clear plastic corners...it slides into a 4 sided, leatherette edged sleeve. The fit in the sleeve is good, not loose at all, just the right amount of snug...the tablet feels very secure. The holes & cutouts are in the right spots and it also has an indentation where the UP/DOWN buttons are located. The flap closes via magnets and if I had one complaint so far, I wish they were stronger...it still closes perfectly fine, just being picky. It's well thought out for the price. In black, it has a nicer than average fake leather look (and feel) that you will not be ashamed of in any setting. Overall, I feel it's well protected from the basic, daily rigors of using the iPad...but it's not a case that you would use if you're in a high risk environment where drops are a high probability. I throw it in my briefcase, backpack, or on the passenger seat in my car with high confidence. I have left it on my desk (closed) and inadvertently piled some light-ish stuff on top of it (papers, pads, catalogs, and a cup of coffee) and I didn't freak out when I found it buried, it's that grade of rugged. I have a 100% leather version for my old iPad that I paid $60 for 5 years ago, so I know the difference between qualities....this one is definitely worth $16! Even if it lasts me a year or two of daily use, I'd say I'd be OK with that when you consider what it's protecting.

Great product
This cover is not what I expected for the price. It is very well made. I knew it had a pocket or at least I thought it did. After receiving it I went back to check the description and yes it did. Blended in so well I missed it. Everyone that has seen it has commented on how nice it is. I consider this a great bargain.

Easy to hold and appears to be durable and good protection for iPad.
After reviewing many iPad covers I opted for this one. I was looking for iPad protection, easy to hold, auto on/off when opened/closed, and durability at a good price. This cover fit the bill. I especially like how you slip the iPad into a separate compartment which is secured by velcro so the back of the iPad is always covered, which reduces chance of damage if dropped and cover pops open, unlike many iPad covers which leave part of the back exposed when iPad put in a standing position. I wanted a cover whose color popped so I could locate it easy in a tote bag and I ordered purple as it was less expensive then the red. Without much lighting the purple appears muted or brown, but is a nice enough color in full light. It has an outside sleeve and pen holder, which may interest some purchasers, but they were not considered part of my decision in buying this cover over others.

Decent product with a few design issues.
I think the quality of this product is good. However I grave encountered a few design issues. The cover does not make accessing the top right hand corner button easy. The bottom edge of cover does not allow for easy access to the charging port for my iPad Air.

Cute but flimsy and a bit big
It looks nice. I love the design. It however is a bit big for my iPad meaning that some of the screen goes below the material so it’s hard to swipe the screen up to use its features. It also feels flimsy. I replaced an old one that broke because it was all bendy at the bottom. This one seems like it will do the same and was actually morE money. The design and idea is nice. I think if they added a bit more ridged material on the stand part it would be perfect with a bit smaller of the surrounding as well for a better fit. Will see how long it lasts. But it also doesn’t stay in stand the greatest. Overall it’s nice.

Arrived damaged; feels rather flimsy
I bought this for my daughter’s iPad. The cover arrived with a sharp crease in the front, almost as if something heavy was placed on it during shipping (it only came in a plastic Amazon pouch). The outer cover feels average in terms of sturdiness/durability and the inside frame, that holds the iPad, feels flimsy. I also don’t see this case offering much in the way of corner protection if dropped. Other than that, the pouch is a nice feature and the image print quality is good and vibrant. I’m sure there are better options.

A VERY good Case for its price!
Short answer: This is a great case for iPad. It is true that the case cannot rotate, however it just makes it up with more protection/durability. It is lightweight, has many viewing options (inclined positions), and can store up your favourite pen! Fast delivery in top-notch condition!Long answer:- Durability/sturdiness: This iPad case is a very durable one. Not only durable, it is also very safe for the iPad itself. As it doesn’t only cover the very edges of the screen (not squeezing the case in place, but protecting it). The edges of this case is pretty hard themselves, thus it would seem that the case is already full even before putting your iPad in. Additionally, the ratio of sturdiness is very balanced between the iPad case and its cover, so the weight is thoroughly balanced. Also, the case’s outside is made out of this leathery fabric, so it isn’t stained easily (be aware that the inside of the case itself is not made that fabric), and can last a very long time. These are weaved in place, not made together, so it does add up for the shock resistance of this case.-Viewing positions: This iPad Air 2 (and for many others) case offers 3 official inclined viewing positions. They are actually created by big pieces of leather, so even though they aren’t “carved in” like other cases, these leather pieces are very durable themselves, and they are sued/weaved with the case cover itself. They are also made by this pseudo-leather fabric, so it gives the case a very nice leathery touch!-Pen holder: The pen holder is indeed a nice idea for an iPad case. Either for an iPad pen, or just a regular pen, this iPad case can safely hold your pen wherever you go, safely, until you need it. Even though it does not seem to be very elastic, it can hold something that’s pretty bulky: a sharpie would be something that stretches this pen holder to its optimal limit.-Is this for you?: There are a few downsides of this case.1. It cannot rotate. So if you intend to wear wired headphones when using it, it can be difficult sometimes (just like other cases).2. Even though the iPad is “slipped” in and not “plugged” in, when you slide it in the other direction, it does still offer you all features (charging spot, on/off button, and headphone jack), except one (the outside camera).3. You can only view the iPad in two ways: using those inclined viewing positions or folded. You cannot put this iPad case into a “neat pyramid standing position”. Just a heads-up for that.Overall, I recommend this case to every and any iPad users whose devices fit this cases dimensions, and need a case that offers both top-notch protection, many diverse features, and a SWAG looking case!

Does the job
Needed a case for an old iPad as kids wrecked the one we had. This is not a “kid proof” case by any means, but has taken a beating from the kids with bumps and drops with full protection. It is easy to put on and take off, which was important as we have an Osmo genius pack. The multi level case/stand works great and the “leather” seems durable and his soft to the touch.
