An ideal neccessity
The SmartTag2 is practically a must-have if A: You own a cellular Samsung device (phone/tablet/watch) and B: You live in a densely populated city where you are sure lots of people have their own cellular Samsung devices. Overall, it has fairly accurate tracking via multiple means, whether you are indoors or out, and the battery life is quite impressive. I got roughly 10 months on the stock coin cell battery alone before I had to replace it. One of the best parts about the SmartTag2 is that it can be used as a two-way locator. Say if you've lost your cellular device, the one this tag is assigned to. You can use this tag to ring your device, even when its muted. However, you must have a good sense of foresight and enable these settings as soon as you lay your hands on a SmartTag2, otherwise you'll be screwed when the time comes to hunt down your device. One thing to keep in mind before purchasing the SmartTag2: It is NOT a tracking device. Your SmartTag2 will only show up on the map AFTER it's been automatically pinged by any other Samsung devices within its vicinity. So, if you lose whatever earthly possessions you may have with this thing attached to it in a wildly remote location with very little to no technology, then say your prayers and hope that somebody will eventually and unwittingly appear nearby with their own Samsung device. Best thing about the SmartTag2, its data cannot be altered by anybody who somehow steals it from you, as it is digitally hardwired into your account and bounded to the device it's assigned to. Its digital ownership cannot be transferred to somebody else without you unbounding it from the device you initially assigned it to first. In other words: once it's yours, it's yours. Final verdict: This will set you back £13 but its a lot better than losing a phone you paid hundreds for.

Excellent - better value than apple !
The Samsung SmartTag2 has been excellent and has given us real peace of mind when travelling. We keep one in each of our suitcases, and it’s reassuring to be able to check that our luggage has made it through the airport and arrived with us. The tracking is reliable, the setup was quick and easy, and the battery life has been great so far. It’s a simple but very effective gadget that does exactly what it’s supposed to. Highly recommended for anyone who travels regularly.

A good tracker although a little pricey!
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker is a versatile and practical device designed to help you keep track of your belongings. I bought this to track my suitcases while away on holiday. You could also use them to track your keys or pop one in the car. Pros: Enhanced Tracking Features: The SmartTag2 comes with advanced tracking features, including the Compass View AR, which provides a visual guide to help locate lost items. This augmented reality feature is particularly useful when trying to find items in close proximity. Find Lost Mode: The Find Lost Mode is an excellent addition, allowing users to mark an item as lost. This activates a notification system that alerts you when the item is detected by any Galaxy device within the network, increasing the chances of recovering your lost belongings. Battery Life: The device boasts an impressive battery life, lasting up to a year with typical usage. This longevity reduces the hassle of frequent battery replacements, making it more reliable for long-term use. Compact and Durable Design: The SmartTag2 is small and lightweight, making it easy to attach to a variety of items such as keys, bags, or even pet collars. Its durable build ensures it can withstand daily wear and tear. Integration with Samsung Ecosystem: The SmartTag2 integrates seamlessly with the Samsung SmartThings app, allowing for easy management and tracking of multiple tags. It also works well with other Samsung devices, enhancing the overall user experience for those within the Samsung ecosystem. Cons: Limited Compatibility: While the SmartTag2 works exceptionally well within the Samsung ecosystem, its functionality is limited when paired with non-Samsung devices. This could be a drawback for users who do not exclusively use Samsung products. Range Limitations: The Bluetooth range, while adequate for most use cases, can sometimes be restrictive in larger spaces or if there are multiple obstacles between the tracker and the user. This limitation can affect the effectiveness of the tracker in certain scenarios. Dependence on Samsung Network: The Find Lost Mode relies on other Galaxy devices to detect and report the location of the lost item. This dependency means that in areas with fewer Samsung users, the effectiveness of this feature could be diminished. Price Point: Priced at a premium compared to some other Bluetooth trackers on the market, the SmartTag2 might not be the most budget-friendly option. Potential buyers need to weigh the advanced features against the cost to determine if it offers good value for money. Conclusion: The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker is a robust and feature-rich device, particularly beneficial for users already invested in the Samsung ecosystem. Its advanced tracking features, impressive battery life, and durable design make it a reliable choice for keeping track of personal belongings. However, its higher price point and limited compatibility with non-Samsung devices might be a consideration for some users. Overall, it stands out as a strong contender in the Bluetooth tracker market, offering several innovative features that set it apart from its competitors. I hope you found this review helpful and thank you for taking the time to read it.

An excellent & so easy to set up pack of 4 Samsung Smart Tags, each are so responsive too.
I am really pleased with this pack of 4 Samsung Smart Tags '2', which were so so easy to set up too. To show how pleased I am with these Smart Tags, can I say, and this is important to me, that two days ago I also bought a rival version of these tags (and a pack of 2 of these 'rival' tags cost almost the same as 4 of the Samsung Smart Tags. And a further comparison reveals that the Samsung Smart Things (Smart Tags) app was far far more professional and easier to use, compared to the rival Tags app which came across as if that app had been written using "paint by numbers" and very very difficult to navigate too. SO well done to the Samsung Smart Tags '2' pack of 4 which at the time were great value with Amazon. So setting up was so easy too, I simply bought up the "Smart Things" app on my Android phone, luckily this app is part of their system, and straight away I was able to follow the prompts to set up the first Smart Tag, and give it a name and other info. I then repeated the same process with the other 3 smart tags, and that was it. And as a bonus, those same 4 smart tags of appeared on another phone of mine (an android phone using the same account). I have included images to show the 4 Smart Tags in use, and also how they appear on my phone screen. Thank you great product, and a delight to set up.

Honestly nice to have
Bought it initially for my suitcase when travelling to the US, and will now put it in my camera backpack. Really nice knowing where my luggage was throughout my flight. Does only properly update location by being somewhat around other android / samsung devices to map its exact location, but still works well. Remembers where you have been, has a decent volume ring if you need to locate it, very much worth buying for a valuable bag or luggage

A worthy rival to the airtag
I was in the market for a new item tracker, and this SmartTag2 caught my eye. The new design is a major improvement over the old model. The larger loop makes it incredibly easy to attach to keys, luggage, or even a pet's collar. It has a sleek, polished look that feels sturdy and modern, and it doesn't feel bulky in my pocket. Ease of Setup The setup process was a breeze. As soon as I took it out of the box and opened the SmartThings app on my Samsung phone, it was instantly detected. The app walked me through a quick, intuitive pairing process, and I was up and running in minutes with my tag named and ready to go. Connectivity & Range The connectivity is rock-solid. The Bluetooth LE 5.3 connection holds a great range, and I have no trouble getting it to ring from my phone within my house or even out in the garden. The addition of UWB (on compatible devices) is a huge plus, as it provides incredibly precise directions to the tag when you're nearby. SmartThings Find Network This is the killer feature. If I leave my keys at a coffee shop, the tag uses the anonymous Galaxy Find Network to get a location. Essentially, it pings other Samsung devices that are nearby and updates its location for me on a map. This feature gives me real peace of mind, knowing that even when out of Bluetooth range, I have a great chance of finding my lost item. Lost Mode & NFC The new "Lost Mode" is a brilliant addition. If I lose my tag and someone finds it, they can use their phone's NFC to get a message from me with my contact information. It's an anonymous and very effective way to get my belongings back without revealing too much information. Battery Life The battery life is seriously impressive. Samsung claims up to 500 days on a single battery, which means I can practically set it and forget it for over a year. The fact that it uses a standard, replaceable CR2032 battery is also a huge plus, so I don't have to worry about replacing the whole device when the power runs out. Durability I’m a bit clumsy, so the IP67 dust and water resistance rating is a huge relief. I don't have to worry about it getting wet in the rain or taking a little splash. It feels tough and well-built, which is exactly what you need in a device you're going to clip onto your keys or luggage. Speaker Volume This is the only reason I'm giving it a four-star rating instead of five. While the speaker is decent, it could be a lot louder. If the tag is buried deep in a bag or under a thick cushion, the ring can be a little tough to hear. It's not a deal-breaker, as the Compass View feature helps a lot, but a louder alert would be a big improvement. Extra Features I also love the extra features. I can use the physical button on the tag to ring my phone if I misplace it, and I can even use it to trigger a smart home automation. These small features add a lot of value and make the tag so much more than just a tracker. Final Thoughts For any Samsung user, this is a must-buy. It’s an easy-to-use, reliable, and incredibly feature-rich tracker that provides a ton of value and peace of mind. The design is a massive step up, and the long battery life means you can rely on it for a very long time. It's an excellent product that I would highly recommend.

Good quality
I bought the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker after losing my suitcase once, and it has given me so much more peace of mind when travelling. I have already taken it on two holidays and used it to track my suitcases — it worked really well and helped me feel much more relaxed. It is easy to use, reliable, and a great little travel companion. Knowing I can check where my luggage is gives me extra confidence, especially during busy airport journeys. Definitely worth having if you travel often.

OK, but still not as good as Apple Airtags
These are definably better than Motorola Moto Tag, although that is a very, very low bar. The value of these trackers depends on how many phones will detect them and securely report the location. Given that all recent Apple phones automatically do that, it's inevitable that reporting frequency of Airtags is still ahead. In my experience, Galaxy SmartTags are far better than Moto Tags in reporting frequency although accuracy remains variable. My car was in a hotel carpark overnight but was reported at multiple locations many miles away. That's one privacy concern, using the SmartThings app you can review location history over multiple days and plot them on a map. The form factor doesn't support the various holders which are designed around Airtags. That's unfortunate as my camera case has a compartment for AirTags or Moto Tags which the SmartTag2 won't fit. The Samsung SmartThings app is reasonably good, just as well as these SmartTags don't get recorded in Googe's Find Hub service. Samsung operate their own website which can locate SmartTags plus Samsung phones and tablets, earbuds etc. All in all, I'd say best of the bunch tracker for Samsung owners.

Stra-consigliati!
