When having my new kitchen installed (including all new electrics,) the installer put the appliance plug sockets in the cupboard next to them - with no isolator switches above counter (to give a more streamlined look.)This was fine with me, as I’d planned not to turn the appliance’s off by the switches most of the time. However this became unexpectedly problematic for me for 2 reasons:1 - although I don’t have kids of my own, when my nieces and nephews come round, it was frustrating to have to move things out of the way in the cupboard to be able to turn the switches off so they couldn’t mess with it.2 - I like to leave my appliances doors open so they don’t smell, and the tumble dryers light would not go off when turned on at the wallTherefore enter these smart plugs!I read the other reviews first, so knew the trouble that some people had setting these up with the wifi routers. I followed the advice of another reviewer - to log into the router and turn off the appropriate setting. (I’m not a wifi technology person and can’t recall the appropriate terms without looking! 😅)Once set up via the app, it was easy to link to my Alexa system, and not I completely control them via Alexa.‘Alexa turn on/off the washing machine/tumble dryer/dishwasher’They’re easy to name for the appliances to!Overall, I would recommend these smart plugs for a reasonable price in comparison to others available.

I have bought the Woox 4pack twice. The first was the square plugs seen in some of the pictures.They are excellent. So I reordered. Woo had upgraded the product and the new plugs are round. They apparently have 'better' functionality but I have not noted or needed extra features. The new round ones are very poor in that they loose connection every night and need to be rebooted. The Woox support did respond but are not especially helpful in finding a solution. They said the new design means I need to separate the 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels on the hub. I have not done this and understand that doing so causes other disadvantages. I have no need to do that for any of the many devices I connect so The new smart plugs are effectively useless.

Easy to set up however after only 7 weeks one of the units is now faulty and although there ia a 2 year warranty all the contact e mails on manufacturers website no longer exist .

Good plugs, easy to setup and use.App is simple to operate and works well with good Google integration.I bought when on special discounted price, but amazon prices seem to fluctuate a lot...so need to watch and buy when cheap

Fantastic plugs and so easy to install. However 3 months on and 2 out of a pack of 4 failed and stopped responding to alexa commands. Give them their dues they refunded me for the faulty items and the rest of the plugs work fine. They are so easy to install through the woox app but these have to be configured to the 2.4ghz wifi.Maybe I just had a couple of lemons . Yes they failed me in my hour of need. But the vast majority worked perfectly.I have another project to start for a family member with wifi 6 and 5 ghz. I will be ordering the upgraded plugs and hope for a simple install procedure the same as the 2.4ghz installation.
