As I’m sure most of us have, I’ve tried loads of different whole bean coffees, to try and find my favourite. It’s really hard (I find) to make nice coffee from whole beans, on the first attempt…. but this is really deliciously smooth and just the right strength for me…. and I didn’t even have to try. Well worth the extra money vs some of the bigger brands.

These beans tasted great. Bold yet aromatic. I used these in a bean to cup home coffee machine. Had no issues whatsoever and were delicious. Highly recommend to try and replace as your new morning favourite.

I had to switch from my favourite caffeinated coffee so I thought I would try this brand and it is perfect because I love coffee and drink a lot of it throughout the day. Since switching a month ago I haven’t had any more heartburn or indigestion problems caused by too much caffeine. Tastes great whether I’m making a regular coffee or a latte. Freshness in smell as well, with a great aroma.

The media could not be loaded.  On opening the packet the aroma of these coffee beans hits you with a warm sweet chocolatey sensation. The beans are dark with a slight sheen and release oodles of aroma during grinding. I tried these with our filter machine with three 8g scoops of beans on a fine grind and about 300ml or half a pint of water.Drinking the coffee neat (no sugar) I realised that next time I need to use less water or more coffee as the strength was a bit lower than expected. However this is a very palatable coffee with no bitterness, a smooth almost velvety cocoa taste with a slight nutty after taste. It's naturally sweet enough to drink without sugar even if like me you generally put a teaspoon or two in black coffee. Adding a small teaspoon of sugar though does bring out the fruitiness and spicy notes, making it an extremely warming and comforting cup of coffee.This Blazing trails blend of dark roasted beans is definitely a winner in my books. The blend is 100% arabica coffee beans from Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and Indonesia and has a best before shelf life of 12 months.Overall this is truly a great coffee bean that I would strongly recommend if you're after a velvety smooth chocolatey coffee with a warming spice that is elevated with a bit of sugar added. The beans are roasted to order from what I gather so the beans are bursting with aroma and flavour. It's also good value for a quality bean especially if you go for the bigger bags.

This coffee is delicious and rich, the flavour is not lacking and neither is the strength. It's the perfect coffee for me! Keeps me going strong throughout the day whilst satisfying my taste buds.

These coffee beans have been a morning treat, with a rich blend that's got a nice kick to it. The notes of chocolate and nuts come through well, and it's a decent dark roast without being too bitter. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for starting the day on a strong note. Would certainly recommend and order more!

I was able to try the dark roast Blazing Trails blend from We Are Coffee Co.At the time of writing this review, the price of this 227g bag of whole beans from We Are Coffee Co is higher than a supermarket bought blend. In fact, the current price is more equivalent to the price of a small-batch roaster blend. This is important to mention as when the beans are priced high, you would expect a decent quality. Sadly, this isn't the case.The beans themselves are a little oily for my liking, and sadly, that's reflected in what's produced in the cup. The espresso given was a bit light on the crema, and the chocolatey nutty flavour - whilst passable in a milk drink - it's quite bitter in an espresso (even with trying to dial in the temperature). Sadly, these beans are just not of the same quality or punch that you could expect from a bag of beans from a small-batch coffee roaster, which is their price equivalent.In conclusion, I couldn't recommend the beans as they don't offer good value for the coffee you receive.
