Bought to cover the base metal of my old sink drain, covers perfectly, looks like a new sink. Not a tight fit but incredibly holds a basin of water. I pop it closed when not in use, so easy to press open or close. The drain trap holds hair very well, I dont think it even lets one hair get past, easy to unscrew and remove any debris. Really pleased.

What caught my eye about this was the strainer basket below this plug.I have long hair and when I brush it over the sink in the bathroom it tends to clog up the plug hole, so I really like the idea of being able to catch all the hair in the filter basket below and remove it quickly and easily.This is a universal plug that has a pop-up central button and is very shiny stainless steel (you need to remove the blue covering first). There's 3 adapter seal rings that come with this, enabling it to fit between 34 - 42 mm sink holes, but you do need to have the right kind of sink. The product page shows you the type of sinks this won't work with and although I understood the "X" hole one, I wasn't sure about the other. It's difficult to describe, but this plug sort of sits within and on top of the original plug hole, so you have to have one that has a deep enough part to be able to take it.As it turns out, the sink I wanted this for has a plug hole that this doesn't work with, but luckily the one in the en-suite can take it.The outer diameter of this is just over 6 cm and the pop-up plug part is 2.9 cm, which seems quite small in comparison to a "normal" plug, but it works.The seal is good - it holds water in the basin fine and the push down/pop-up spring of the plug itself is smooth.Very shiny and looks good for the price. The filter basket seems to be working okay too.A decent plug if you've got the right kind of sink.

Just ordered a second one excellent and universal so will fit a variety of sinks. Easy to use and three extra sizing rings.

I picked this as it came up advertised by Amazon when I searched. We needed a replacement due to a worn old seal and I thought the hair catcher was a great idea. It did not fit the plug hole no matter what we did. Nevertheless, we left it in place for a single shower just to see how the hair catcher was. By the end of the shower water wasn’t draining at all. It’s full of hair and not that easy to unscrew and empty.

Excellent product especially with three different size rubber seals. My sink took the middle size.

The media could not be loaded.  At the time of this review you can get this replacement sink plug for around £6.66 as there is a discount available.This may be universal fit as it fits different sizes of sink holes and baths and sinks are different plug sizes however, it will not help with a modern click clack sink or bath plug hole, this plug is too deep.It will not help with modern kitchen sinks that have an immediate metal basket as a sink hole..Seems this will be more useful in older style sinks if you have a deep set plug hole.please see the video where you may see what i am trying to describe to you.I hope the video along with this review is helpful

I ordered this YOXITIXOY universal bathroom pop up plug replacement because the video description made it look like all I had to do was insert it over the existing one. That is not the case. You just need to remove the original drain plug by hand, then insert the pop up plug and press the spring-loaded switch to easily complete the installation. Tool-free installation and easy to install when you know how.The pop up plug is made of high quality stainless steel and copper, which is strong, rust resistant, scratch resistant and resilient. Equipped with rubber seal rings and built in filter.No instructions were included.
