Very Realistic Flame
I bought these bulbs after seeing some my brother received as a gift. This brand is much more realistic than the one he received, which appeared to be almost pinkish flame and dots of light moving upward. This bulb looks great during the daytime or night time. One of my neighbors called to say they thought they saw fire at our house. They also cast a nice bright glow lighting the front porch for good visibility to guests arriving at our door. I ordered two and one arrived not working. I returned it and ordered a second one which works perfectly. No worries because the shipping was all free on Prime! The seller contacted me following the transaction and I asked about how to register for the two year warranty and received an immediate response. No registration required, simply the date of the Amazon transaction and a new one will be sent. Bulbs may be pricey, but well worth it for the effect AND the piece of mind that they will work for at least 2 years. They can be left on 24/7, use little electricity, look as great in the daytime as they do at night and I just love the black bottom, rather than a blue or white ring. Truly look real, up close and from the street.

Comparison with blue-ringed bulb
The media could not be loaded. I bought this bulb after being disappointed with a different one I bought before. I thought a comparison video was necessary to show everyone what they're actually buying. I am very pleased with this nitor light. It has a good colour and the flames look much more realistic than the first one I bought. The flames are longer and slower too. I compare it in the video with one of the flame bulbs with the blue ring on the bottom, which, in my opinion, is a piece of crap. I originally bought it because I saw some videos of it and it looked good, but then when I saw it in person, it was horrible. The colour was pink, you can see every little dot blinking up and down which makes it not look like a flame at all, and the animation was so fast that it looked like a strobe light in my fixture! I'm glad I bought the nitor one and it looks great in my fixture. VERY PLEASED :)

Single mode
Tried several different bulbs looking for a single mode that would work with a dusk to dawn light. So far, this is the only one I have found. The size is great and the effect is as real as I would expect for the price point.

Read the reviews!!
I was about to buy a flame bulb that has 3 modes because 3 is better than 1 right... Thankfully I read the reviews and saw that if the bulb has 3 modes then it doesn’t work with my sconces that have sensors in them. In the daytime they turn off and at night they turn on but with a 3 mode bulb the modes will change every day so only once every three days I would get the “flame effect” that I want. Glad I did the research! Read the reviews people!

Buy this one
If you're wondering which flame bulb to get that's most effective, this is the one. Its simple, has a black base, isn't super tall like some of the others, and burns up or down based on bulb direction automatically (so no goofy modes everytime you flip the switch). This is also the most yellow/orange of the bunch with a flicker that doesn't look like a strobe light. There I just saved you a mess of time reading reviews and doing research.

More torch looking than a candle.
Cool looking when dark. The flames are some-what realistic. We have this on our front porch. It looks more like a small torch than a candle. If are looking for a candle looking flame, this will not do.

When working correctly the effect looks good when within a 15-20 foot distance
We ordered three of these to put in the lamps on our driveway. 1 of them didn’t work at all, another one kept glitching and can’t decide if the flames should come from the top of the bulb or bottom. When working correctly the effect looks good when within a 15-20 foot distance, any farther then that they come off as just yellow bulbs because there isn’t enough constrast between the flame effect and the bulb it’s self.I think I went in the the wrong expectations on what it could do. I it would work really well for something close, for example doing a pretend fire indoors with little kids. At the end of the day it’s a cool idea, but I was left underwhelmed.

Quite satisfactory
I bought these and then a set of CPPSLEE bulbs. Both perform well and have a plasma gas effect that pulses in the bulbs. Fit and finish appear to be equal and I like them both. I have not tried inverting them yet so that might be a differentiator, but in an upright position they are equally effective. The Nitor black base is an advantage in that it is less obtrusive.
