Works great
First off the fly web trap works well so I'm sticking with it for now. However my first bulb failed after only a couple of months. I have a second trap at another location and it's bulb is ok. Let's hope I have better luck with my new bulbs. Update march 2012 - latest bulb has lasted much longer. This fly catcher system works really well ( I have two of them in the house). 1st Bulb in the other system has lasted well. 2nd bulb in 2nd system also working well. Upgraded the number of stars to 4 from 2. May 2012 Update: So far no more bulb fails. The FlyWeb Light trap works great. Moved it up-to 5 stars October 2012 Update Still working great. Sometimes esp. in the summer months I see a fly or other insect slip into the house if I have left my screen door open. However I now can relax in the knowledge that the insect will become a victim of the flyweb trap overnight. I still have 2 traps located on either side of our open plan Kitchen/living / family room. The only thing that it may not capture is mosquitoes, but not sure of this.

TIFFAND CUSTOMER SERVICE WONDERFUL FOR ME
My daughter bought a FLYWEB. I love it. It works very well at attracting bugs and flies that come inside. We used it for at LEAST a year and a half with the original bulb. Finally the bulb burnt out and I ordered a new one. It didn't last a month but I had it past Amazon's return window. I messaged TIFFAND and my goodness, they sent me a new bulb immediately. That, in my opinion, is EXCELLENT customer service!!! So far, so good, with my new bulb. Even if would have burned out fast again., I am still impressed with their customer service.

Great Bulb, Love the FlyWeb
Bought this bulb to replace the bulb in the FlyWeb that my landlord placed in the apartment and they work great. I live in San Francisco and we tend to have fly problems due to transients and messy tourists leaving items on the street combined with a lack of rain. I also love to eat fruit and sometimes have fruit fly problems - the Flyweb trap takes care of all the insects very quickly and I am very pleased with the results and will continue to purchase. So far I have had the bulb in for a month and it has not gotten dimmer - apparently it should last close to a year and I will update the review if it doesnt last that long.

Died after 7 months; great customer service to replace it!
The light started acting up after only 7 months, making noises and getting orange and flickering but not completely dying. Tried removing the bulb and putting it back, wiggling it around to no avail. The original one that came with the device lasted 7 YEARS. Update: Great customer service. Seller contacted me and provided refund and I bought a new one from them. It should last at least 1 year, so I probably got a defective one.

Bulb didn't even last two months
Just got this replacement light bulb in late January. It's only beginning of March, and the light is already burnt out. My return window with Amazon just closed a couple of weeks ago, so I can't even get a refund for this defective light. This isn't the first time for me. I bought a replacement light bulb last year which burnt out after only a few months of use. I thought that defect was just a one time issue, but this is repeating itself which leads me to believe that this company doesn't have quality control and assurance in its manufacturing of these light bulbs. If anyone knows of a durable replacement for these light bulbs or the entire bug light itself, please let me know.

DO NOT BUY FROM THE TECHNICAL PRECISION SELLER
The Flyweb bulb works fantastic. However, DO NOT BUY THE LESS EXPENSIVE VERSION OFFERED BY TECHNICAL PRECISION. It is a clear glass enclosed rather than white frost. It is a fire hazard and burned and warped the glue sheet after three days of use. I've used the original Flyweb bulb fine for months and it works to catch mosquitoes, indoor plant gnats and fruit flies perfectly. I tried to order a replacement from Technical Precision because it was cheaper but it's not the same product at all.

This simple light has murdered thousands of would-be blood suckers
We tried vinegars, honey traps, flystrips, 'ultrasonic repellants' - none of it worked. Then I bought this thing and wow....I have to change the glue strip like monthly it catches so much. I mean the strip is FULL, top to bottom, with fruit flies, mosquitos, gnats, even the random spider or silverfish. And it doubles as a night light in the kitchen. Save yourself the headache, if youve got a fruit fly problem or a legion of blood suckers in your home, just get this and stop worrying about it.
