Finally! Products with the perfect PH for my hair
Kudos to All Plex for stating the PH instead of just the ambiguous "PH balanced." Honestly, that means nothing. Or actually, could mean a lot of different things -- acid, alkaline or neutral. But 5.5 is exactly what I needed and is what led me to first try these products. Even so, if the products had too much alcohol or "botanicals" I would have reacted with dry, unmanageable hair or some kind of weird allergic symptoms. Happily, the ingredients all agree with my hair and scalp and I've had no bad reactions since first using almost a year ago. That said, I am looking for a shampoo/conditioner to rotate these with as my hair does best when I don't use the same ones every time. Now about this package. It comes with shampoo and conditioner that includes pumps. The shampoo is low sudsing which I wish was non sudsing as bubbles are totally unnecessary and only serve to appease consumers' aesthetics, yet are very drying. But as mentioned, it is a low suds so compared to other products, it's much better. The conditioner feels clean, not heavy, and can be applied after shampooing or left on and covered with a shower cap for more intense results. It really does a great job of softening, hydrating and detangling without weighing the hair down (but again, I have dry, processed hair). There are two slight negatives: 1) these smell kind of funky but honestly, I don't care because the results are stellar and 2) Amazon's packaging can be slightly messed up. I received one order with tape over the top of the already installed pump so naturally it leaked. I called Amazon about this and of course, their CS was great about it. My suggestion, though, so as not to waste the products is if they're going to tape it, it should be taped under the pump, across the opening so it can't leak. So, now I make sure it's the only thing on my order so it's shipped in its own box just in case it leaks. Now on to the two additional conditioners that come in this package. Each little tube contains two applications. One is to be used as part of a bleach or color process and is simply added to the bleach or dye mixture. It's my understanding you don't need to bump up the developer to a higher level like you do when using OLaplex. The second little tube of conditioner is to be used after the bleach or color process. As far as I can tell, they are both highly effective as my hair went through two total bleaching/toning processes -- spaced only a week apart -- without any breakage. Honestly, I have fairly long hair and was prepared to get it cut to my shoulders but when I told the stylist to trim whatever was needed to get it healthy, she barely took any off. I really can't say if it was the conditioners or just being careful with my hair about heat, etc. I do know it feels way more manageable. My hair felt super stiff, dry and crinkly after the 2nd bleaching so I re-washed/conditioned it with All Plex and it made an incredible difference. My hair was suddenly soft and silky, like it had never been bleached! I love this stuff and highly recommend trying. The thing to keep in mind is we all have different types of hair. So what works for me might not work for you, especially when it comes to PH (all shampoo manufacturers should reveal the PH of their products for this reason). For the price of this kit, though, it's worth trying. If you have damaged hair, the conditioners will really work wonders. And if you need a slightly acidic PH balanced shampoo, this is the best I have found (so far) for dry hair. Btw, I use my real name for Amazon reviews because they are real.

Better than Olaplex
So to start out- I don't usually write reviews but this was a very pleasant suprise. I'm constantly bleaching my hair very light and changing my bright colors every few months. This past time I had to use color remover (which has burnt my hair off previously, schwartscoff or however it's spelled was the brand. This time I used purple riot blank canvas and had pretty decent result, was also surprised with that) and had to bleach my dark roots and then do fashion colors onto of all that. Through all that and blow drying my hair in between and having to wash it multiple times in which I used this product. Step 1 I decided to put it in the color since that was staying in my hair longest to give it a little extra moisture as like a presoak with the vegan dye. Then used the shampoo and conditioner every wash of this process. And then after I washed my dye out I left step 2 sit in my hair for a while to let it soak. I rinsed that out and have used the shampoo ND conditioner since. I can say I never expected my hair to actually feel BETTER after all of that. Normally my hair is very very thirsty after all this and usually takes a while of not washing to build up my natural oils even after putting leave ins and oils in. I've tried other bond building regimens and olaplex (which dried my hair out and didn't work at all for me) this though? This has been wonderful! So much moisture! And I can tell my ends are basically healed! My hair is so smooth and soft, my curl pattern is looking amazing! This works soooo well! I will definitely be buying more! And will probably just buy this from now on!

Great additive, shampoo SMELLS!!
Overall a 4. I have used this the last 5 times I bleached/toned or treated my hair. I made the mistake of NOT using it yesterday. My hair when using it always came out fine. A little fried at the ends but nothing that a trim didn't fix. This last time? Holy cow did my hair die! Like, melted and lost at least 25% of it. I didn't have this issue using everything exactly the same before, I just failed to use the allplex. I have 2 foot long hair. Next week it will be shaved. If you torture your hair with any bleach products then trust me, this is worth the money!!As for the shampoo and conditioners, well, I hope you don't have a sense of smell. I can't say they help much as the smell is so off putting that I only use them occasionally. It says a "strong grapefruit" smell. Well, they went so strong that you can smell the "bitter" better than any other scent of grapefruit. In fact, my daughter and I, who both have a extraordinary sense of smell, have decided it smells more like my significant other's armpit after a day at work in a hot shop. It is godawful. And your hair still smells like that for about 24 hours. Every time I turn my head and my hair moves I get a whiff of it. 🤢🤢🤢 Sadly, I will smell like that all week as I try to salvage the top 5 inches of my hair so it doesn't break off before I get it all chopped. In summary, USE the additive!! And hope you don't have a sense of smell if you want to use the shampoo or conditioner.
