UPDATE: I brought this along for recent trip to Las Vegas. I had already checked online and the hotel had no coffee maker in the room. PERFECT!! Loved having my hot java on the go!For most of us, travel is a great pleasure, at least until we find that our favorite coffee isn’t available! Sure, many hotels have the tiny one-cup machine with the single-serve coffee inserts. Blah. Other hotels offer regular and decaf K-cup. Better. Oddly, the better the hotel, especially in large cities, the less likely it is to have ANY coffee maker in the room. One is expected to get dressed in the morning, then spend $5 on a Starbucks or similar. For those of us who love our coffee, that’s like being on Mars. I want my coffee and I want it now.Nespresso machines are great, but not conducive to travel. This Cisno travel machine is a marvel. Not a half-hearted toy like some of the other travel machines out there, this one will actually heat the water rather than relying on you to pour boiling water into the machine. Sure, you can do it that way, and the battery will last much longer if you do, but having the option is fantastic. Plug it in, charge the removable battery, and you will get about 3 cycles if the machine heats the water, and per product literature, one can get about 100 cups if you add boiling water yourself. (Sorry, I haven’t had this long enough to actually count cups to see whether it truly can produce 100 cups before recharging.)This espresso machine is about the size of a thermos bottle, about 9 ¾” tall and 2 ¾” in diameter, and weighing in at 1 pound, 15.2 oz. (883 gm). This may not sound like much, but this baby is solid and seems very well made. The top unscrews to reveal the water chamber for filling. The bottom cap serves as a cup, with an additional cap underneath sealing the compartment where the coffee pod is placed. It has one button. To have the machine heat the water first, hold the button until it beeps once. Let go. Ten or so minutes later, it will brew your coffee into the cup. If you pre-boil the water, press the button longer, for about 5 seconds and it beeps twice. Easy. It also has indicator blue lights reflecting battery strength.The battery. Perfect for traveling. Remove the battery before packing the Cisno machine into your luggage and tuck the lithium ion battery into your carry-on. A charge cord is included. BE AWARE, though, that the power cord is only to be used for charging. I was glad that I read the instructions closely and almost missed this point: “This adaptor is supposed to charge the battery pack only… Please DO NOT use this machine when it is charging, or it will damage battery pack.” Ah Ha!! I would have made a mistake here. Interestingly, this unit also comes supplied with a 12V car charger. Apparently the machine can be powered by this cord, with or without the battery installed. I have to make myself remember to unplug before use and re-plug afterward.For all of you Road Warriors out there, this is a very nice coffee espresso maker. Just keep a bottle of water around, along with Nespresso pods, and you have espresso on the go… anytime. Don’t like espresso? Make yourself an “Americano”, such as Starbucks does. They add the espresso coffee then just top it off with extra hot water to reduce the strength. This little baby will be traveling with me everywhere!

I purchased this last year and have used it regularly for the past 10 months. I used it in the car, at work, on trips domestic and abroad. I purchased the additional AC power pack and the carrying case, things were great! As described, I could get 3 espresso pulls using room temperature water with a fully charged battery. Normally I used pre-heated water from and electric kettle or other coffee maker and never ran the battery down. A great feature was the 12v adapter for use in the car so again, not using up battery power in a location where I couldn't use pre-heated water, or you could purchase a seperate 110-240v AC power cord (similar to one you use for a laptop) that would allow use while plugged into the outlet. The AC charge cable that comes with the unit is only for charging the battery, not for running the machine. Another one of my favorite features was the removable lithium battery which allowed my to pack the unit in the seperately purchased padded case into checked baggage and only carry the battery in my carry-on. I only used official Nespresso brand capsules in my unit and never experienced any water-down taste as others have complained. The espresso that was produced from using the battery to heat the water was a pleasant imediate drinking temperature for my taste- not too hot nor too cold.As mentioned, I used this unit everwhere for the past 10 months. I've even referred folks to this unit and at least 2 have purchased. Currently while deployed overseas I attempted to make 2 back-to-back pours (a double espresso essentially). The first one was poured without incident. The second one heated up the water, then the unit beeped and died without pushing the second espresso. I have not been able to power on the machine since. I've attempted a battery charge (no LED light indications of charging), attempted the AC power adapter, the car power adapter, etc. Nothing causes the machine to turn back on. I've attempted to email CISNO support 3 times, and even sent a facebook message to the CISNO profile in the past 5 weeks and have not received a response. Now these units are labeled as "out of stock" on both Amazon and the CISNO website. I'm still within 2 months of my 1 year warranty, yet it appears that the warranty will not be honored. This is extremely disappointing as someone that has purchased not only the device, but additonal accessories as well as referring friends to the brand. Thus the 1 star rating.

A portable coffee machine can solve the problem because it can be used in the car or office.This unit is easy to use but first connect the battery before recharging. It takes time to fully charge, but when done, it is possible to do three to four times the espresso using the heating water feature. It is important to use water at room temperature, otherwise it will not get hot enough. In addition, when you use this function, when the water reaches the correct temperature, the coffee maker starts automatically. It takes about ten minutes to warm enough. It is also possible to use already boiled water to make coffee, simply hold the key until two beeps are heard. When the coffee is finished, the green light appears.The portable espresso machine also works with a Nespresso compatible capsule and reusable one, although it may be more difficult to close the lid, but the crema and aroma of the coffee will remain the same. Its size allows you to put it in the car cup holder or in the side pocket of a backpack and has the function of heating the water, it is a good device to consider when you do not have a lot of time to make coffee or are on the move. It's fast, tasty and useful.

UPDATE 2: After just over a year and less than 100 uses, my machine no longer works or responds. While making one nespresso, something internally gave out and exploded. Water was coming out from the cracks and water was in the battery compartment. This item is no longer "available" so zero support.UPDATE: it is not compatible with non nespresso branded pods for some reason. You can get around it with poking 3-4 holes in the foil before inserting. Also the battery will drain on its own after not using if for a few weeks. I store it at full charge and will find the machine dead in less than a month.There aren't many choices out there when it comes to fully portable espresso makers. I will say, overall this machine is great! There are a few things that could be improved on but it does make pretty good espresso on the go. If you want it nice and hot I would recommend running hot water through first! I like to put the pod cap in my mug and fill with boiling water, while I'm running the machine once with hot water through it (water comes out in a little stream, does not gush everywhere)..Things to improve:1. The water tank lid at the top does not close with the same satisfying click as the bottom cup and pod cap. It just kind of slides closed with a 1cm twist. Just makes me worried it might leak, or get jostled open. So with that said, do not keep any water in here when not in use. Water tank is a black plastic... would be nice if it was metal. Not sure what kind of plastic it is.2. Bottom cup is very shallow, it will just barely fit 1 espresso shot in it, while closed, without touching the pod cap. If you move it at all, the crema gets all over the bottom of the machine. It would be nice if the cup was a little deeper, but I get they want to keep the machine small.3. Small water tank only good enough for 1 shot. As some people have mentioned, takes about 20 min for it to heat up water and extract.4. The cup itself is the same plastic material as the machine, or so it seems. It is a very poor insulator, I find it dissipates the heat very quickly versus making the shot in a mug. It is ok if you drink your espresso quickly.

it is a good product but only one thing the duration to heat the water it is a long time it takes 8 to 10 min for the cold water in all is a good product.
