Superior spinal stability, pain relief, comfortable over or under clothes, great value!
After using a 'back corrector' with shoulder straps which cut into my husband's shoulders and my breast area and were returned, I went with 2 of these basic back braces, and they work wonderfully well! My husband has multiple back issues, and I have a swayback and also fell and had a minor fracture on T12 vertabrae and should wear a brace. This brace is easy to use, fits well, gives great spinal stability, helps both of us with posture, and we can wear this brace either over or under clothes. It's usually an all day wear for both of us, and though it gets kind of tiresome to wear a brace all day long, (we take short breaks from it), it's worth it in every way. We're seniors with osteoporosis, and my husband has scoliosis and kyphosis, so the difference in both his posture and pain relief are amazing. For me, I have a sway back due to a transitional vertabrae in my lumbar/sacral area, and this gives SO much spinal support that I'm wondering why no doctor ever suggested this sooner. The brace is also a must right now so that the T12 vertabrae will heal, and I do have good pain relief from the brace. At any rate, the brace gets a full 5 stars from both of us! Good value for the cost and true to size.

Great quality, provides good support and is very comfortable.
This back brace is very comfortable, fits well and easily adjustable. It's very well made and I love the color. The back support it provides is wonderful.

Much needed tool in healing a bad back!
The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is because the measurement chart seems wrong. I measured myself and ordered according to the chart. But when the brace arrived - I was borderline on returning it and ordering one size larger. But the belt has been very beneficial to my back surgery pain and healing.

Amazing Brace, How Sweet the Relief
I've never used or bought a back support belt before. I had no idea which one to buy. I looked through many reviews on Amazon before deciding upon this one and I'm happy with my purchase. I like it for these reasons: 1. It is adjustable and fits me very well. I really like that there is a double layer of adjustable straps, that really helps me find the fit that feels "just right" for me. I ordered a size small and it's perfect for me. I'm 5'7", 133 pounds, with a 31" waist. I included pictures because I always find them helpful and to show that the belt isn't noticeable under clothing, it's even fine under the t-shirt (which is fitted). The dress I'm wearing in the picture is also a small and the belt fit fine underneath. I had thought about buying the Mueller 255 belt because it was a little cheaper but I felt concerned that I might not get as accurate of a fit since the waist range was so much larger. The reviews were also slightly less positive. I'm glad I went with this one instead. 2. The adjustable lumbar pad really makes a difference for me. I tried the belt on without it and my back pain was still noticeable. But with the lumbar pad and adjusting the belt, my back feels so much better! The relief from the pain is well worth the purchase. 3. The belt is well made and very supportive. The structure is just firm enough to offer strong core support without being restrictive. My plan is to wear this belt occasionally, while walking and driving. I tend to have the most problems while driving. I wore it while on a long walk today and it did get warm/a little sweaty. Not super uncomfortable or surprising considering the weather and distance, but something that may be a bigger issue for some. It does not bother me much. The support is more important to me. Another consideration is that it's possible to move and bend with the brace (especially depending upon how tight you adjust it), but if that's the main purpose there might be other options that are more flexible (but may offer less support, I'm not sure). Other items from Amazon that I bought to help my back: * Cushion supports for my car seat (which have helped a lot). One is a wedge shaped cushion to sit on (my seat is slanted oddly and I wanted it to be more even so the wedge cushion made by Clever Yellow works well, and is available on Amazon). The other is a cushion to support my lumbar region, also available on Amazon: "Memory Foam Back Support Cushion - Designed for Back Pain Relief - Lumbar Pillow With Premium Adjustable Strap - Hypoallergenic Ventilative Mesh - Alleviates Lower Back Pain made by Xtreme Comforts." I liked it because it has a convex (rather than concave) shape... most lumbar support cushions seem to be concave and that tends to irritate my back. It was one of the only convex cushions and I love it! It's taller than most, very thick, has a removable cover, and really supports the length of my back. It does push me forward a bit, which I like in my car (I just put my seat back), but that may not be comfortable on a traditional, rolling office chair. I'm going to review both of the cushions on their pages as well. I tried another lumbar cushion by NurtureSoft but it was more concave shaped than I thought it would be and didn't work for me. * The book Freedom from Pain by Peter Levine. I can't write much about this one yet, as I just received it today, but I'm looking forward to reading it. I've been doing Trauma/Tension Release Exercises (TRE) multiple times a day and they have really really helped me (along with gradually increasing the distance of my walks), so I'm optimistic about learning about other exercises in the book! * Also planning on buying insoles and new shoes, as well as do Network Spinal Analysis at the chiropractor (a very gentle approach ... traditional chiropractor tends to trigger my body and make the bracing worse). I'm hoping the chiropractor might be able to suggest insoles/shoes and posture-correction apparel as well. A month ago I was unable to move because of my back pain. It's gotten much better and I have Faith it will continue to do so! Grateful for these supportive products to help me function better along the way!! If you're reading this and in pain you're in my heart and prayers. Hope you feel better soon!!! :)

Outstanding back brace
The Sparthos Back Brace is a standout product that lives up to its reputation. It masterfully balances firm, effective support with a level of comfort and breathability that makes it suitable for all-day wear. If you suffer from sciatica back pain and are looking for a reliable, comfortable, and highly effective support system that you can depend on daily, the Sparthos brace is an outstanding choice. Just be sure to follow the sizing instructions carefully. I noticed in some reviews that folks were saying that they ran a size small so I ordered the next size up and it was too big. I ordered another within my waist measurements and it fits perfectly.

Makes a big difference!
We just got our 3rd snowstorm of the year. The 1st 2, I used our new snowblower and, because it's not self-propelled, meant a lot of pushing and I ended up with a very sore back. Enter the 3rd snowstorm and my new Sparthos back brace. 45 minutes later through snow that was great for packing, my back is ache-free. This back brace worked wonderfully. It's not bulky, kept my back supported and pain-free. Its overall design is very nice and easily fit under my shirt. The velcro is definitely rugged. I didn't use the included lumbar support pad because I really didn't have to lift anything heavy. This is a well-designed product that I highly recommend for anyone whose back can be be an issue from time to time. Thanks, Sparthos.

Good quality for the price, I’d buy it again
Hello, I paid around $30 for this back brace. It has helped alleviate my back pain immensely. The issue I have is consistent so the back brace will only help not fix. The quality is great, the Velcro sticks very well and there’s enough of it so you can adjust as needed. I’m 210lbs ( I am working on my weight I was 230lbs when I bought this) so I’m round in my stomach area which does affect the way that the product works. It’s still effective however, since there is more fat in the area the brace sits, the pressure from squeezing it can cause the brace to roll like shorts do (like womens athletic shorts) this pressure has caused one of the plastic support pieces to come out due to consistent use and pressure. This may not be the normal circumstance for most, just my specific situation. I use this back brace 12 or so hours a week, for work and sometimes at home when doing menial tasks that require standing bent for a long time. It’s not that bulky so it’s comfortable. The design is convenient and easy to use. I throw it on quick and instantly feel relief. I apply it snuggly, if it’s too loose it may not be enough to relieve the ache strain or pressure that’s hurting you. I highly recommend this product if you need temporary relief while doing dishes or working in your yard or at work. I wear it for 4-6 hours at a time and take a 15 min- 1hr break in between ( at work) and at home I’ll wear it while I do the task and then remove it. My back usually tells me when it doesn’t need it anymore. You may be able to gauge by loosening it if it’s time to remove it. If the aching relieves with the pressure keep it on, if the aching subsides after you loosen it it may be time for a break from the brace, as your muscles may be telling you they’ve had a long enough rest. The material is good quality it doesn’t feel cheap at all. It says you can wear it for up to 8 hours at a time, I think it’s up to your situation, but do take breaks as you don’t want your muscles to continue to rely on it too often. It may cause them to weaken. This has been my experience at least. I don’t know why I have pain and I was at my wits end before I bought this( at my chiropractors recommendation consult your Dr.), this brace has helped me immensely I hope it can do the same for you!

Sparthos Back Brace for Lower Back pain
I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs. After hurting my lower back, I researched a lot of back braces and ended up with this one. It is a bit wider and overall bigger than some, and I am not a big person, but I seriously needed support. This back brace does it all for me. It fits well, gives me the support I need when working out and when working outside. I tend to try to lift more than I should, but this brace protects me. It's not too big, doesn't move around, and gives immediate relief to my lower back. It's actually quite a bit better than I thought it would be.
