I bought this for myself but now buy it for everyone I give starter to that says they want to continue on the sourdough journey. The kit makes it very easy to mix, keep track of the rise, temperature and store.

Seriously it is great! It gives you card that has a QR code to help you get started and how to use everything. It’s a great size for just an average baker. Honestly a steal for the cost.

I looked at many starters before I chose this one. This comes with three thermometers, three cloth covers, a metal lid and a wonderful spatula that goes the length of the white mouth jar. I like the fact that I have a feeder reminder label that is easy to navigate and read as well as the temperature of the jar which is important to note. I scanned the QR and emailed the company due to the fact that they suggest you use wheat flour for the starter and feed. I asked about the use of wheat flour and if I could use bread flour and what were the differences. I sent this email at 11:00 p.m. by 11: 11 p.m. I had a response explain the breakdown of Wheat and why that is more important in ensuring success. I could also start it with any flower but that they noticed wheat has the most success. He also explains that if I use bread flour as a higher protein content which will compliment the sourdough starter with wheat. I can't say enough how impressed I was with "Ammar" in the customer service department Abioto.

This kit has everything you need ( except flour and water ) to get started on your journey to learning sourdough bread. I would recommend this to anyone.

Product seems acceptable. However box mentions in 2 places an “Instruction Guide” but no such thing was included. For a beginner, this makes it much harder to begin using.

I was nervous about making a bread starter but this kit is well worth the money. I especially like the spatula and the jar thermometer.It's got a cloth lid that makes it easy to keep the mixture breathing and healthy. I'm glad I got this set to help me start out and learn how to make sourdough starter. Now it's on to bread baking!

Easy to read markings. Clear measurements. Feeding band is a great help, especially in the beginning.

Having the Baneton and the jars has been awesome for making sourdough bread. I have the same day sourdough bread recipe that works absolutely perfect with the Benetton! It was well worth the purchase.
