Nice and crazy fairytale
I loved this nice fairytale manga, it is so nice. I recommended for anyone who likes Tezuka's work and it is ok for children as well. I would read it to my children if I had any.

The book itself was great quality, but the story left a lot to be desired. We never get to find out what happened to plastic and the conflict is confusing

The first 2 parts were amazing, but this one was a bit boring and repetitive (same gender identity issues, same types of villains (witch and duke...etc.). The story is almost like Sapphire's, but someone else is living it ((((((SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!Her daughter)))))). Also, it did not feel like it was a real sequel. The previous characters felt dull compared to what they were in the original story and they had little effect on us this time. It's like they didn't have a strong backstory! They were else kinda stupid at times and looked and acted so much older! I'm sure it doesn't take decades to give birth to your first baby/twins LOL. I'd give it a 7/10.

Needed to know Japanese books are read backwards
I bought this for my twin grandsons, second graders who are advanced readers. I did not see any info that Japanese books in English were printed backwards: read for right to left, from back of the book to the front. Had I been alerted, I would not have selected this book at this time for them. Since it cannot be returned I decided to keep it for a while and let them try reading it when they are more mature readers. When I tried reading a few pages, I did not find it easy.

Like Mother, Like Daughter (And Son, too)
I bought The Twin Knights from a local book store at the same time as I bought the two volumes of Princess Knight.Like the other reviewer, I'm a bit disappointed that the publishers chose to change the style of cover between the first part of the series, and its sequel. This is not a deal-breaker for me, but considering that all three volumes are the same size, I'm surprised that they did not attempt to create a more cohesive "unit" of books. The story, however, is just as charming as ever. The Twin Knights picks up from where Princess Knight left off, introducing the birth of Prince Daisy and Princess Violetta, the ill-fated children of Princess Knight's protagonist Sapphire. The story reads sort of like a readjusted version of Princess Knight at the beginning; it eliminates the concept of "boy" hearts and "girl" hearts, but still plays with societal expectations of what boys and girls are supposed to be and do.Without adding spoilers to the discussion, I will say that this is a nice little addition to the Princess Knight story, but not strictly necessary to find closure with Sapphire's tale. It is also not necessary to have read the Princess Knight story to be able to pick this up and enjoy it. While it has references to the original series, it still stands as its own work, and is still a worthy read.

Disappointed collector
The two volumes of Princess Knight also from Vertical were so beautiful, this release is disappointing in comparison. The cover and spine art neither match nor compliment the other two volumes and this is even completely different dimensions. The paper is noticeably poorer quality - thinner, darker and, most disturbingly, wavy throughout the way that cheap paper can be. The binding feels less sturdy on read-through. This is really the ugly duckling on my shelf. Really can't believe this is from the same publisher.

An Alright Read
Twin Knights is the one-shot sequel to the infamous Princess Knight, and it focuses on the twin children of Princess Sapphire. By sheer misfortune, and an evil plot, the Prince and Princess are separated and Sapphire is forced to raise her daughter in a life similar to her own. The main drive of the story of Violetta trying to find her brother and set things to right within her Kingdom. Overall, it's an alright story. While Violetta and Daisy are interesting characters, it can feel a lot like a re-tread of the originAl story. However, I'd say it was still worth the read.

I love this book
The Twin Knights is sort of an improved version of Princess Knight. It doesn't have the filler the latter series has but shares a similar narrative. I love the comraderie between Violetta and the Gypsy Queen - girl power. I recommend this book to anyone who wishes to read Tezuka's shojo works.
