House Again Original Sturdy Steamer Basket for 6 or 8 Quart Pressure Cooker, 304 Stainless Steel Steamer Insert Accessories with Silicone Covered Handle

Arrived damaged in undamaged box. One leg was bent and it looked like somebody tried to straighten it and bent the bottom of the pan in the process. It will still work, but I paid for a product in new condition, not what should have been labeled a factory reject.UPDATE:Company responded quickly and kindly, and fixed the problem right away. Very pleased with their service.

Great addition to an InstaPot.

Being very picky with kitchen gadgets and such but:I HIGHLY recommend this product. A few months earlier I purchased an InstantPot 6 qt ( sorry, not from Amazone that time) and I noticed the hassle to get the potatoes or other steamed veggies out of the pot. The little trivet which came with the pot did a decent job, but I needed something better.. more functional.Found this steamer basket here by accident; also compared it with the mesh version of other manufacturers; read other customers feed back.Thus remembering how many times I replaced mesh strainers just for draining pasta because how flimsy some were made, iI opted for a more solid version of a steamer basket.This one exceeded my ecpectations.Not only does it come with a handle, it has legs too to keep the contents above water level during steaming. Being made of stainless steel, it's dishwasher safe and never accumulate oders ( yeah, no fish , cabbage or cauliflower smell after washing) I had no problems removing- many times -full loads of ca. 5 lbs steamed potatoes out of the pot!Yeah, handle and basket are that sturdy!I actually used it as a colander to wash fruits in it as well. The legs will keep it above the sink for easy draining.Guessing, it can be used also in a regular pot to cook pasta with , just need to lift the basket up by the handle when they are done and the pasta gets drained in the process. But I never tried that method yet!Thinking of using it also for cheese making, for drainage when the curds getting compacted in the cheese cloth.So technically, it could be used in many different ways. Just my opinion!Hope this was helpful.

This past year my daughters and I began making tamales. Tamales get steamed and my collapsible steamer just wasn't going to work so I got out my old steamer pot but the steamer part was too short. So when I found this I was excited. It works perfectly an th handle makes it so easy to get out of the pot. My daughters even put a souffle dish in it to make a steamed pudding so they wouldn't have to make a sling. I use it in a large stock pot, no instant pot in my house.

This basket is fantastic. I got an Instant Pot last Christmas and have barely used it because anything I put in there would have been sitting in the water. Along comes this basket steamer and suddenly my IP is the most used item in the kitchen. It fits perfectly into my Mini Duo and is somewhat easy to clean. I'm having a problem with chicken getting stuck, but I'm going to try spraying it with oil first next time. The only thing I'd say to watch out for is the little silicone feet. They don't stay on when washing and I've almost sent them down the disposal a few times. I don't really want to put them on and off a lot because I'm afraid it will stretch out the silicone and then they won't stay at all. Other than that, this basket is awesome. Oh, and unlike other reviews, mine came in a sealed bag and there was no tape on the actual product.** Update - Still love my basket, but have to remove a star because it's super hard to clean. Everything sticks to it, and chicken is the worst. I spend more time scrubbing than I do cooking. Also, one of the silicone 'foot' covers keeps coming off. It's only a matter of time before the little guy slips down the drain.

I have instant pots... but I actually purchased this for regular pots and steaming. I have always had that really small stainless collapsible type of steamer - but they are never tall enough - in my opinion. So I purchased this for my regular smaller stock pot. Fits like a glove. I did actually purchase two, the 8 qt and the 3 qt. So I'm covered. I have read other reviews about the silicone leg tips coming off - so they tossed them - I have not had that problem. But, having said that I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Note: I do remove the silicone feet protectors if I wash in the dishwasher.

Works as expected.However I am being very generous with this 4 star rating. First of all the tape residue - good luck getting rid of them! I have tried every known tips and tricks and products from this planet for over an hour (not including any "soaking time") in order to scrub this nasty sucker off the metal. My arms, hands and brains all got a rigorous workout. Second, after only a couple of uses, I noticed the metals have dents here and there. I don't remember ever dropping it on any surfaces nor knocking it intentionally against anything or with any hard object. How did these dents form I have no idea. Maybe during that initial vigorous scrubbing? Everything I have steamed inside were veggies that were reasonably soft compared to any metals. I guess the material, while looking nice and shiny, is quite flimsy. That said, for steaming it works as expected and the sizing fits my Instant Pot 3 Qt perfect. It also fits one of my sauce pans perfectly so I can use it for stove top steaming or even pasta cooking. The silicone handle allows me to lift the basket w/o a glove, although I would wet my fingers with cold water first before lifting - it can still be quite hot!To be honest I would buy this product again if not for that glue residue. I can't go through that process again. The easily-dented construction is a negative but not enough to affect the use of this product in its intended way.

This is a very good basket. I've been using it for a long while, mainly for steaming vegetables. I just purchased another one. The basket has protective plastic covers (orange bits) for the "legs", but they tend to fall off, so I would be careful while using with nonstick pots. Having said that, the legs are smooth.I use it in my Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Smart Cooker, 5.7L, and Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 Multi-Cooker 6L . I've tired several other things, but this one has worked best for me, while others are long gone.

There is no Silicone Covered Handle & legs as described. Different from the pictures showing. Very disappointed. Has to return.

It’s a Much much smaller steam basket than the description said.The item I received has “6Q” labeled sticker!Returned it straightaway.

A perfect addition to my new pressure cooker. Allows for more versatility of use and cooking. Also excellent for pasta cooking.

Handle missing so returned as useless. Refunded promptly.
