Got these to startle wildlife and attempt to keep them out of our woodline and off our property. Makes a loud enough sound at random intervals, to startle non-predatory wildlife like deer and such. Won’t scare them all away, but does seem to be helping reduce the frequency and amount of unwanted critters visiting. Battery life is fine and a common size so easy to replace. Works as advertised, and a good value for the $. We put them in small plastic bottles with the bottom cut off, that act as tiny megaphones for the beep noises, while keeping weather off the device.

These were fun to use as an innocuous prank. The cricket noise is not unpleasant, but I was disappointed to find that the batteries did not last as long as I hoped. They ran out after only a few weeks.

These work fantastic, very easy to use and small enough to hide well, loud enough to work perfect and they have a great battery life. I recently quit a job and moved cities, when I did I hid 9 of these around the workplace. In the ceiling tiles, behind picture frames, under bathroom sinks, behind white boards, on top of a mounted projector, etc… I remained good friends with some of the people who work there and have been informed that they still have not found all of them and they’re still working.

I’ve purchased these twice and probably will buy more to keep messing with people. Very annoying on the receiving end but very enjoyable for people like me. Lol
