VitamixImmersion Blending Jar

I just bought the vitamix immersion blender which I LOVE and can't say enough good things about. I then ordered these jars thinking they would be a useful add on. I was immedidiately disapointed because they are think plastic and not at all the quality I was expected. I requested a return and was provided a label but had to pay the shipping which was $30! This was just to send them from BC to Quebec. So, there is no point returning them and I am essentially out the money I spent on them. I do not recommend this product at all and very disappointed with the customer service.

This is exactly what I expected--a storage container that I can also use as a blending container for my Vitamix Immersion Blender. The container is sturdy and has a tight-fitting lid. In fact, the lid can be quite difficult to remove if it's tightened very much. The container is roomy (32 oz/960 ml) and of sturdy quality. It's useful for blending soup, beverages, or other items and then putting the lid on it for storage. No transfer of containers is necessary. The shape is designed for an immersion blender and facilitates better blending action and minimal splash out. It's nothing fancy, but it's just what I needed for it's intended use. I purchased two of them. They're a bit pricey but I don't expect to need to buy any more. They seem very durable.

Heavy duty plastic high quality plastic. Some reviews complained of plastic bits being cut off on bottom of jar . My Vita Mix immersion blender has a shroud around the blades so blades never touch bottom or sides of jar. I checked to make sure blades would not cut bottom of jar. Satisfied with my purchase. Exactly what I was looking for. Satisfied with lid.

I use this for making my morning protein and supplements drinks using an immersion blender, and it works well for the purpose. The curved shoulder of the container helps keep the blending ingredients from spraying out of the jar -- which is good. On the other hand, it can also catch bits, and make cleaning a little more difficult, which is a slight negative. I pour the blended drink into a glass to drink it, since the jar is a bit big and awkward to drink out of directly -- I have small hands. I rinse the jar immediately after pouring the blended drink into a glass, and then put it in the top rack of our dishwasher, and it comes out sparkling clean, so no problem. I bought two, so I'd always have a clean one ready for use, but so far I've only needed one. Good product!

I use this container every day for mixing and blending my protein drinks! It was specially made for Vitamin blender and it is easy to fill and the size is right for a (1) day need for the goodies in the drink.
