These hanging solar lights look great and provide a nice light that is bright enough to light up our 12x20 porch. It’s a gentle warm white so it doesn’t hurt the eyes or cause you skin to look ill. The Solar top charges through the day and automatically turns on when it gets dark. The light lasts the the night. The design is simple enough, and super cute. The top and base are wrapped in jute so it’s probably best to keep them in an area that will get sufficient sunlight for charging, but out of the wet elements. They have an on/off switch that is easy to get to near the bulb if you want to have it off. They have a good durable feel and do fine with the wind. I’m very pleased with the quality, look and light provided. Great addition to our porch.

I am a solar light junkie because they are easy and pretty. I place solar lights in all of my potted cactus plants because it makes me feel better to have lights outside in the early a.m. when our electric lights are turned off. My previous solar lanterns died, so I ordered these to replace the old ones. I doused these lights with water (no rain here lately) to see if they are rain proof, and they kept working the next evening. They have stayed very bright for several days (hopefully for a long time after) and I love how they look.

I love hanging solar lanterns outside of my house year-round. In the summer they create a time to party and BBQ atmosphere. In winter the outdoor lanterns are welcoming in the cold darkness.This pair of retro Edison bulb, soft light lanterns hang on the trellis of my front porch. At the time of taking the attached photo it was snowing and 16 degrees. As you can see light is still brilliant.To be honest I was skeptical about how all-weather these lanterns would prove. There is no protective covering around the light bulb. The lantern frame is more cage-like, letting the elements touch the bulb. But the product description says frost resistant and waterproof. So far so good.I personally don’t like the twine that is wrapped around the top and the bottom of the lantern. When it doesn’t hold up I will come up with a different covering more to my liking.I still like the lanterns overall.

This lantern gives off a nice warm light. It automatically comes on when darkness hits, stays on overnight, and switches back off when daylight returns. It has a pleasing rustic look that adds a nice touch to our patio. Although received this as a two-pack, only one of the two worked properly. Wondering why the second one failed to turn on, we closely examined the bulb in the non-functioning device. The bulb’s filament was clearly broken. The other unit works as it should. While we only have one light rather than the set of two, we had hoped for, we are delighted with the one received.

Really nice at night, gives the garden a nice ambiance lighting. Easy to hang and last most of the night.
