It stays where you put it
I followed the easy instructions and put this rug on the floor on top of the included pad. The rug itself is thin, the pad takes care of that. I feel like this is safer if you have elderly people living with you; Also rugs that slide around are just annoying. I got one that is very neutral and fits in with my house. Next time I might get a cute one with animals, or something brighter.

Loud, it's like velcro sound at every step
Because the rug and pad are sticking together by a velcro like backing on the pad even after a month of walking on it you can still hear the sound of velcro at every step.
