Far nicer sound than plastic nut.
Bought it for my Yamha f310 acoustic guitar, which had plastic (urea) nut and saddle.Length wise and width wise was a perfect fit to the slot. But height wise, it was shorter. I had to add on to its height, by gluing a thin plastic film to the bottom. (you can see the plastic I have added, in the picture, as a white part on bottom of the black nut)Anyway, it worked like a charm... Loved the brightened sound from tusq nut and saddle... I like bright sound for guitar, as I sing with a cappo on fretboard.I give it 5 stars, because the issue with the height was not the manufacturers fault... I should have measured accurately before purchasing it.I won't regret, as I did the work-around to play it fine... lol...

Best for sg special
Best replacement nut for a gibson sg special. Drops straight in, just a bit of filing off the length (approx 1mm). No more strings sticking in the nut...ever.
