Nice design. Unfortunately, compared to my other ferro rods, it is hard to use; it's tough to strike sparks reliably and it doesn't produce a dense shower of sparks. I've not properly field tested it, but based on my initial testing, I am not encouraged and will not be taking this into the backcountry where I might need to rely on it in an emergency situation.
