Garth Brooks The Ultimate Hits

I don't know how anyone could pick just 34 Garth songs and declare them his Ultimate Hits, but this album comes pretty darn close. All great songs, everyone of them. There's a reason Garth Brooks is the world's top selling solo recording artist, and the songs on this CD are evidence of the reason he is. If you have to hit the road and travel light, this two-CD set is the perfect way to go. We all have our Garth Brooks CD collections, so we know these songs from his original albums—that makes listening to this compilation even that much more enjoyable.I only gave this one five stars because that's the most Amazon offers in their review, otherwise this is a solid 10-Star CD set.

I love Garth Brooks, he has been one of my favorite singers since I was 6 years old. Garth's music takes me back to a simpler time in life and I will always love him for being there when I need him!

Good collection of well known songs but one disc has two tracks that refuse to play on any device. The disc appears to have a minor defect that cause both those tracks to be un-readable. The free download feature means I can download those songs from Amazon so when I get around to doing that I will have all the music I purchased but it is kind of a bummer that one of the discs has a glitch.

I would listen to Garth Brooks when I was growing up. He was the one who broke out a different style of country music in the very late 1980s (unlike other country artists beforhand). I stopped listening to country as I got older. The past few years, I have been recollecting the music I grew up with (especially Garth Brooks!). I bought this CD then added the music to iTunes on my MacBook Pro, iPad, and iPhone. Was easier to add to my iTunes than other music I’ve bought outside of iTunes Store!Highly recommend this album/collection! It has helped me bring back thoughts/memories from the earlier years of my life. PLUS his music (as always) is still one of the best ever produced (my opinion). I also enjoy getting get to hear again the theme song for the movie FREQUENCY (When You Come Back To Me Again).

I have to admit, I used to really love Garth Brooks. But recently, I listened again, and I was horrified at what I heard. First, you have "American Honky Tonk Bar Assocication", which complains about "your dollar goes to all of those standing in the welfare line". In another song, he says we shall be free "when the last child cries for a crust of bread". Then we have "papa loved mama", where he seems to be indifferent to the fact that "papa" killed "mama" by ramming his truck into the hotel where she was having an affair. The last straw was "two of a kind", where he seems to glorify people breeding themselves into poverty. Yeah, Garth. We get it. Sex is fun. You know what isn't fun? People having kids they can't afford, who are then subjected to the judgement of conservatives who don't care about the kid once it's out of the mother's womb. You either care about "kids crying for a crust of bread", or you don't. My guess is, you don't.

Delivered quickly but CDs were reversed. CD 1 had songs from disc 2 and flip for disc 1. Doesn’t sound that bad unless you use iTunes. Every song was wrong. You click Friends in Low Places but hear Papa Loved Mana

I loved this CD set. It has some of my favorite hits. The River & unanswered prayers on it. Any one that is a fan of Garth Brooks would love this collection of his greatest hits.

I bought this album to refresh my memory of his hits before attending his World Tour. It's chock-full of well-known hits, with several lesser-known titles. This guy's the Rolling Stones of country music--and if you have a chance to see him live, run, don't walk. This is how you do it.

we were looking 4 Garth brooks as we heard one of his songs, it took me a time but at last I found it, the cd came we opened it and played it and it is a wonderful cd and we will be looking 4 more of Garth brooks cds as he is a smashing singer when he is singing sad songs is what we like, roll on when he makes another cd this yr, if he has I hope someone tells me tys. kindest regards GSD LOVER.

Yes he is, and he also did.....oh come on, just buy this brimming with hits and full value cd/dvd package and then enjoy.I already have it but I have just purchased another copy as a gift for someone. (Would you like a guitar thrown in for good measure as well?).What more could anyone ask for, two hit packed cd's and a dvd, now that's value I would say. Anyone who knocks this guy because his stuff is selling in certain "non-upmarket" stores is a nut. He has stayed loyal to his fans, both old and new and I think the fans are delighted they can have access to his material without paying through the nose for it.He is not strictly a total country singer nor strictly a pop singer but he is a "singer" and a great "songwriter" too.Well done to everyone on this full value 2007 release, especially Mr Brooks.

I had lost my original copy of this cd so decided to purchase a new 1. I brought the double cd as it had lots of Garth's new songs on it.

This is a good cd with a good mix of tracks, I personally am not a fan of the faster tracks they are a little bit too country for my taste but the balleds are simply stunning. if you are a fan you probably have most of the tracks already but if you are just getting into Garth Brooks this is an excellent start.

This album (two CDs) showcases the best country singer song writer in many years. Stand out tracks like If Tomorrow Never Comes and Make you Feel My Love covered by all and sundry are testimony to Garth's cross genre appeal. Delivery and packaging were first class and although the price was not cheap it was well worth it.
