The LED camera accessory you CAN use!
Photos taken with an iPhone USING the device, not OF the device.I am a very hard guy to get gifts for. I have excellent photo gear. Over the years I have dumped all kinds of cheap gadgets and gravitated to semi-professional Nikon gear, a 1970’s manual macro lens and a ring flash. Long ago I had an LED ring flash, but I detested it and threw it out, as there were as many false highlights in a picture as there were LEDs. But this is different.I decided to give this a try with my iPhone, which is something almost anyone can do without devoting thousands of dollars to professional photo gear. I was surprised by the results. The main thing is, you can’t count the LEDs in the pictures. That being the case, suddenly this becomes seriously useful.I like how this folds up into nothing. I don’t generally take my camera to macro subjects, I mostly take them to my camera, but with this little light box you could work either way. I have still yet to try this out with my semi pro Nikon and all the associated paraphernalia, but this is the only LED device I have come across in 16 years that I would consider using. At the price, it isn’t worth building your own light box instead. The controls are simple and effective. The dim / brighten controls work slow enough that you can choose the setting you want without going past it by accident and having to back up until you finally get what you want. The three light colours are useful (basically they are blue, orange, and both = white). You can correct colour casts other ways, but it is always best not to have to do so in the first place. All in all, this is perhaps the one camera item I would enjoy as a gift which comes at a price anyone would buy a gift for!

Handy for getting good photos of small objects, probably better with a camera than an iPhone
The media could not be loaded. I guess I will start with the main reason why I didn't give it 5 stars, and that is simply because one of the colored background pieces came with a big wrinkle in it, which you can see in my picture. From the way the background screens were packaged, they also all have a curve that is like a third of the way down and not in the center. While they still work fine once you put them in, it makes them a little more awkward to deal with and not really fit down in it when it is collapsed for storage very well. I could fold and crease them to make them fit much better for storage, but that's an irreversible action that I'm not sure I want to do.Aside from those backing inserts, the functionality of the light box is simple and works well. I'm an artist, and I have usually just tried to make a makeshift background from paper or foam core board or whatever I have around for photographing things. While that typically works well enough, I usually struggle to get decent lighting and keep my shadow out of the picture. This light box will eliminate that struggle, and pulling it out and quickly setting it up shouldn't be any more hassle than trying to quickly set up a makeshift background. One thing I have realized from using this that I didn't know before is just how much my iPhone XR automatically adjusts the lighting of the camera. While being able to switch the color tones of the lights with this box is a nice function, it is useless for taking photos with my phone, because my phone automatically changes the color and lighting to look the same regardless. You can watch as it does this in the video I uploaded as I cycled through the light colors with the product. That's just something to be aware of if you're planning to use an iPhone for your camera. Of course that's nothing negative about this product, but I would say it probably has a little more functionality for use with an actual camera that doesn't automatically adjust the color and lighting.

Convenient, compact photo studio box
This is a 12"x12" photo studio box, so it's not very big. The advantage is that it's small and compact, and includes several colors of the backdrop.- Inner layer has reflective, textured surfaces to increase light distribution- The backdrop color choices and quality is pretty good.- The light box top can be opened up to get top-down photos.- The LEDs inside the top of the light box have decent brightness, but the LEDs are visible and not too well diffused.- Given the design, the front of the area doesn't produce lights so you may need to supplement the light in the front opening.- USB powered - very convenient.Overall it's a simple studio box that works great.

My daughter loves this
Really cool little lightbox. My daughter loves making stop motions with her legos, and is always battling proper lighting and nice clean backgrounds. This is perfect for that. Its easy for her to use, set up and take down. Easy to store. Feels like nice quality.
