Pleatco Premium Spa and Pool Cartridges carry the finest reputation in the industry, using the latest technology to not only ensure your water remains crystal clear, but also that the components of your spa including elements like the heater and the pump function as intended by the manufacturer. As the most commonly supplied OEM filters in the industry (typically most spa manufacturers use Pleatco branded filters), you can be sure you are getting a quality filter, which will not invalidate the components of your spa. The two biggest factors affecting spa filters are perforation (allowing lumps of sediment, hair and such to flow through it) or premature blinding or clogging. In this case, the pump sucks harder to try and get water through potentially causing overheating through dry running. Pleatco filters use advanced mesh cores (not drilled PVC pipe), designed to allow the optimum flow of water through the cartridge, which create the bare minimum in additional resistance to that provided by the Reemay Filter Fabric and allow the maximum possible flow of water through the surface area of it. Pleatco filters, when cared for properly in regular usage conditions should last the season. Filters should be cleaned periodically to remove excess sediment, preferably with a soft brush and an approved filter cleaning product (also available, see our other listings).
