Countertop Wax

Based on the recommendation of the maker of our cats' concrete water bowl, I bought this product to seal the small pits that were not noticeable when I bought the bowl but accumulated black grime after some use. This product, although more expensive, does not have the fresh citrus aroma that I thought might make our cats would avoid using their water dish. This product sealed the pits, once I had scrubbed and bleached them clean, and seems to be holding up fine. The bowl looks nice and shiny now. I will keep using this product based on current performance.

So easy to use. Just follow instructions. Make sure to use a sealer before applying the wax. I'm not sure why there are such bad reviews. To be certain, you need to have a concrete countertop that is smooth before using this product. My countertops were still a bit unpolished and the wax will be used up fast in this case. The wax does give a bit of a yellow tone to the concrete. However I loved the look after.

Cheng Concrete Countertop Wax is effective and has a light glossy finish. Its protective finish enhances concrete surfaces. However, the noticeable smell requires usage in a well-ventilated space. Regular reapplication, annually, maintains its effect. For durable and glossy countertops, this product is a worthy choice, but be prepared for ventilation and upkeep.

This product does an excellent job of keeping the shine on my colored concrete hearth. It’s a great protectant that enhances the surface and helps maintain its polished look. Highly recommend!

To all you folks giving 1 and 2 stars, that was my initial reaction to this wax. After doing a large section of counter following the directions on the jar (going through 3 buffing pads and getting riled up), I stopped and re-read the directions, and I had followed them. There was no sheen whatsoever, just choked up buffing pads. DO NOT use a wet sponge or applicator to apply the wax as indicated in the directions and DO NOT start buffing immediately. Both of these are counter-productive for two reasons: 1: Dilutes the wax 2: Does not haze If you have ever waxed a car old-school style, you do small patches at a time letting the wax haze a bit but not fully dry, then buff the heck out of it. Once I shed their directions and rebuffed the initial section, reapplied with a dry microfiber cloth, it came out perfectly and didn't choke up the buffing pads.It is going to take a few coats to get the finish I wanted.

This stuff works really well. We use it after deep cleaning the countertop in our kitchen. It lasts for about two months per use. You don’t need a ton of wax so the bottle will last you awhile (depending on surface spray). No intense smell with it either, which I appreciate.

We used on our concrete kitchen countertops and sadly it did not work. We used it over the Cheng sealer and had to return both. We followed instructions step by step and were very disappointed. We had to sand it all off and start over with a different product. We truly wish it worked for us. It was very inconvenient and time consuming to have to remove it all.

The Cheng Concrete Countertop Wax was easy to apply had has worked really well from day one. One of those days was Thanksgiving so having the added protection helped significantly given all the dishes, dropping and spills suffered that day. Liquids bead and anything with the potential to stain has wiped up easily. I would recommend this wax to those DIY'ers who have used concrete layering to cover old countertops.

Works great with the sealant, highly recommended! We used it on our homemade concrete worktop!

Very expensive, confusing instructions and doesn't seem to have improved our worktops enormously, considering it was about £50 for a tiny tub. There is a clearly a gap in the market for concrete worktop wax! I mean, it's OK, but it didn't blow us away.
