Sarah Style

I actually wanted a book that featured Sarah's TV projects so I could study them and have pictures all in one place hard copy. The book is arranged by room not project. You can look at many of her projects on her website but I wanted it in a book. I am glad for the reviews that explained that is exactly what this is and not much more ( although there are some rooms not featured on TV). Somehow the descriptions left me a bit wanting but I think that is because design is a process so a static description doesn't capture the unfolding nature and spirit that we see on TV. If you want to see Sarah's TV projects in a beautiful large book at a great price, this is it.

Great food for 'design thoughts'! She has an easy conversational style of writing that sounds just like her easy,breezy tv style. Lots of inspiring photos and good descriptions and lessons in developing your own style (by describing her thought processes for the choices she makes...)

I love her work on HGTV but I am disappointed by the lack of new information in her book. Although the photographs are excellent, the rooms have been covered, in greater depth, in her TV series and, therefore, the book is merely a portfolio of her past work.

Sarah is quite simply magic .Her down-to-earth very livable style is very comfortable and user-friendly. Everything she touches turns to something beautiful. I've been watching her since the very beginning - long before Alexander, long before her babies were born, and have been delighted to watch her like a beautiful flower bloom right in front of me. Sound silly to you? That's all right. I'm a huge fan, and this is a lovely book. Can hardly wait to see her shows in DVD available everywhere - and maybe another book one day. Sarah is the kind of person everyone wants for a best friend - she's smart and funny and SO talented!

I started watching Sarah's tv show years ago and always enjoyed the beauty and creativity show. A helpful book for inspiring adaptable decorating solutions in your own home.

So disappointed! The book is just a collection of some of her television shows...and not her best. There is absolutely nothing on her cottage or farmhouse which I think reflects her best work...and there is absolutely nothing that you haven't seen before. I love her show and hate that HGTV is so slow in getting it to the US but this book fell way short of what I expected.

Great book for decorating ideas! Sarah is my favorite designer . She is so creative and has fabulous taste!

I never miss watching Sarah's show when I know it's on. I love, love, love her decorating style and I just really enjoy her assistant, Tommy. Here in her book are pictures of rooms she has done and I like the prettiness along with the practicality not to mention her storage ideas. She also gives us ideas on how to recycle older pieces of furniture to be repainted and reupholstered.

I absolutely love Sarah Richardsons design style, so I was excited to buy the book! Unfortunatly I was disappointed as I've seen all the photos/makeovers from her TV shows so there was nothing new in the book that Sarah hasn't already covered in her shows

I was actually really disappointed with this book. I had waited and waited for it to be released as Sara Richardson is truly one of my favorite designers but I really don't think that this book in anyway shows this woman's true talent. There was nothing of the farm she renovated in it, nothing of the cottage that she did with her husband and I thought that the small lack of quality pictures again was not Sara Richardson quality at all. Sorry Sara - as my head line says I so wanted to love this book.

Where was this book when my decorating adventures began? Beautiful photos of classic design that anyone can achieve thanks to inspirational photos and easy to follow writing style. Highly recommended!
