New Star Foodservice 535634 Round Top Brass Plated Stanchions, Set of 2 Posts with 1 of 79.5-Inch Red Velvet Rope

In all honesty, I was skeptical of buying this set because I noticed stanchion sets under $300 are usually crap! I bought another cheap brand on Amazon for a similar price and it was garbage. Flimsy. Easily bendable. Not so with this set. This set may not be top quality (real stanchions cost over $130 each piece and without a rope), but it's really good quality for the money. Really good!If you're wondering, yes, the center pole is not solid brass or steal. The core is somewhat hallow. Just the outside looks like chrome, it's not solid all the way through. However, it is really good quality for the money and a great starter pack. If you're going to need stanchions for daily use in crowded areas, get real ones otherwise get these. Even the piece that the rope latches onto is solid whereas other cheap stanchions bend easily. Oh and the red rope is solid! It's got good weight to it and it's full, it's not as cheap as the other set I bought. Oh, and yes, the chrome base is just cover, it's not a solid chrome base. The base is black. And it does have a rubber edge on the bottom to protect floors.If you're on a budget, I recommend this set without a doubt. Only used them once so far though. If you have a larger budget, I suggest getting real stanchions from a company that sells them. You won't find the real stuff on here.Side note... The main box containing the product set comes inside a bigger box which makes it harder to carry up your stairs. Just open up the shipment box and remove the smaller product box. Will be easier for you to carry.For your decision-making convenience, I have included many photos. I know how annoying it is when people don't post any images or enough details because then you're left to gamble. I hope this helps you make an informed decision.All the best.

The media could not be loaded.  Good and serves it purpose. Not too happy with the price. It’s very sturdy and definitely gives the VIP look.

I'm actually giving these a 9 out of 10. The only slightly disappointing aspects are 1) there could be a collar for the bottom of the pole where it meets the base, the hollow pole meets a flat base and the pole is slightly sharp. 2) the hook plate at the top could be thicker and have rounded edges but I doubt anyone will notice.Other than that they are very nice, shiny and heavy, and WILL NOT tip over, they were nicer than expected and we will have no problem whatsoever renting them out for $50 for the pair.Shawn TremblayAmerifunWichita KS

They exceeded my expectations! They are so beautiful in person. I ordered two sets for a party. After the event I will use them as decor in my media room. I'm really satisfied with the heavy weight of these stanchions, and the tone of the gold finish. I was worried they would be too brassy and look cheap. They look very high end. Excited! Plus...with my Prime membership I got free shipping and the package arrived in two days. Due to the weight, other companies wanted $70 for shipping that would take two weeks! I highly recommend buying from this seller! Trust me...I am super picky when it comes to these types of things.

After putting it together it wobbles and doesn’t sit properly on ground not leveled well

Looks great, decent build quality, heavy base. If you take care of these they are a good red rope stanchion option for events. We plan on keeping these assembled, would be iffy taking them apart over and over again. Ropes will last if taken care of but aren't designed for heavy use.
