LE010 Plain Steel Loop End Single String, .010

The headline pretty much says it all. I remove the ball ends to use them on mandolins sometimes too. Way cheaper that way.

This loop-end string fits just fine on a five-string clawhammer or bluegrass banjo, whose tailpiece has protuberances over which the loop fits. This particular gauge is normally used as the third of the five strings, and tuned to G. I've never seen a guitar that would use this string. It may well work on four-string banjos (which are normally played with flat picks); I don't know enough about four-string banjos to say.

it is what it is, broke to upon installation, hoping the other two will survive the installation I don't feel like buying a whole set.

Check the "loop end"!!!. It may not be what you want.

the strings that i put on were smaller i had 10 thousands string and put this 9 thousands string on and it sounded great

Great sound, quick break-in, holds tuning very well.

I assumed that for $7 I was getting a pack of five strings. I received one string. I could have bought three full sets for $15.

The manufacturer's website told me that this item's part number is for a pack of 10. I took a chance and ordered this hoping the Amazon description as listed for one was wrong because the part numbers were the same, but I was wrong.

I ordered the wrong sting for my 12 i am guessing these are for banjos or something?? Never used these in my puff and been playing guitar for 40 years. I thought, What? a loop end, Ah, must be able to just pop the peg through the middle must be new or something. Not releasing it pulls the peg out big time when tuning and no other way of holding it in. Oh, well you learn something new all the time. Therefore, next time I must read the description properly and look for the ball end strings- NOT LOOPS! Thanks for sending it out anyway, fast shipping and looked good quality.

It's a string. Loop end for banjo and other peg instrument. Won't work on most steel string guitars. Not much more to say. Odd that I ordered four strings, they all shipped separately, one string at a time.
