Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind Review: Loved this - I gave this book to my son for Christmas present, and he really loves it. The photographs are amazing and this is his favorite band.. Review: An aging Gen X metal kid is glad to have it for the metal library. - It took longer to get to me than I wanted, but it finally got to me. The hardcover presentation and content makes it really worth my while. Bruce Dickinson is pretty much the reconnaissance man of heavy metal. Growing up in the 1980s, I loved the epic songs on the Piece of Mind albums. The so called grown ups of the day regarded heavy metal as just a bunch of noise making. The kids into heavy metal music were stereotyped as a bunch of intellectually dull, dead end burnouts, going nowhere fast. Never mind the lyrics of Iron Maiden were rich in epic story telling about history and 19th century Victorian era literature. The songs are brought into graphic novel form depicting what they're really about.

Wish it was just an art book.
Artist’s renditions were awesome by the guest artists who did splash pages. The story art looked so so. Do an ART OF EDDIE book next time.
