Needed to up-size my tackle after having a summer steely straighten my #2 generics. Went with Owner because of reputation and I like the cutting edge point they produce. Exquisitely sharp! Expensive little buggers but you shouldn't take chances when it is a fish of a thousand casts. Make it count! Sizes: #1, #1/0 Would have been 5-star, but for price.

I've tried a lot of standard heavy wire hooks that are designed for bonefish flies in this size but there is a growing need for smaller size short shank wide gap hooks as Tarpon, snook, and permit become more pressured. The larger sized hooks can spook these fish now so this hook is the only one in size 2,4 that meets the requirements for small Tarpon flies, snook flies, and an excellent shank length for Permit crab patterns that would normally be tied on a size # 6 bonefish hook.
