Kryptonite Evolution 11-14mm U-Lock with FlexFrame-U Bracket

The lock itself is good quality, but bike thieves nowadays are able to get through any lock with the right tools. I mainly use this lock due to the size, as it allows me to secure my wheel and frame to a rack. Most other standard locks cause issues with this as they aren't long enough, whereas this lock makes it extremely easy. I use 3 d locks on my bike in the hope that if any bike thieves do come along, there happens to be a bike with one less lock than mine.

This is a great lock, I wasn’t planning on spending £50 but so glad I did, it is excellent quality and I am confident leaving my bike liked up with this lock. I bought the cable to go with it and this will help with quick release wheels.

I love the attachment thing to the bike. The length of it is too big to find a good position to attach to the bike though. Still, I made it. So far so good. I like this length because it gives me more locking possibilities in the city, although it's heavier. Good steal quality. The only thing is, sometimes it's tricky to use the keys. Definitely you can't put pression on it. I Still find myself fighting to put the keys on or even take them out sometimes. For this price and for the fame of the brand I was expecting better usability.

I always buy kyrtonite locks they last for years. And aren't to expensive. Value for money.

Terrible - my last Kryptonite lock lasted 16+ years…this failed within weeks and now the replacement is as bad. Very stressful when out and about with bike, not confident it will lock or unlock. Also not wide enough to lock frame and wheel to anything. Paid over £50 but in request for return / refund being offered £35…no way to access a person in CS to discuss. Wish I hadn’t spent money here.

This is a tough piece of kit and big enough to secure the bike to the stand. It's really heavy though. Fine for my e-bike but would be too heavy to lug about on my mountain bike. That said, you can feel certain that no thief is going to take the bike and if they do, the lock has insurance( there is a fee)

I have been using it for the past few months and have very little to add neither positive or negative. It is a good lock and the description and reviews that I've read match with the product I bought. Só far there hasn't been attempts to steal my bike even though it is a folding bike at medium-high price range. I wasn't sure if its length would be enough or to big for my folding bike but for others, please don't get smaller than this.

For starters, this lock is tested for a gold security rating, which is critical if you have a valuable bike and if you were to park it in an urban area. Moving onto the quality, the entire lock is covered with high-quality rubber, and all moving parts is well designed and calibrated. The lock mechanism is smooth and feels premium. The lock is longer than conventional U locks, which is useful when u have an E-bike. It also has a good amount of weight to provide with you extra reassurance. Finally, the mountain mechanism is a little bit tricky to get on. I consider myself skillful with my hands, and yet it took me about 10 minutes to install. This might be a dealbreaker for you if you’re not confident in your engineering skills. Overall, I strongly recommend this product and you can always give the mounting hardware a try before you skip the next product.

Ich verwende das Kryptonite Evolution Mini-9 jetzt seit einigen Wochen an meinem täglichen Pendelrad, und es hat mich überzeugt. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig und das Material fühlt sich extrem robust an — gerade bei einem U-Schloss in dieser kompakten Größe ein wichtiger Punkt. Der orangefarbene Rahmen macht es gut sichtbar und trägt zur Abschreckung bei. Trotz seiner relativ geringen Größe lässt sich das Schloss angenehm handhaben und gut transportieren, ohne dass es zu klobig am Fahrrad wirkt. Die Verriegelung funktioniert einwandfrei, der Schlüssel läuft sauber und ohne Ruckeln. Nach dem Einstellen habe ich keinerlei Probleme oder hakende Mechanismen festgestellt. Für mein Stadtgebiet mit durchschnittlichem Diebstahlrisiko gibt mir dieses Schloss ein sehr gutes Gefühl der Sicherheit. Fazit: Robustes, vertrauenswürdiges U-Schloss mit guter Qualität und zuverlässiger Sicherung. Empfehlenswert für alle, die Wert auf Sicherheit im Alltag legen.
