Perfect + amazing value
Bought for some android gaming but especially streaming via Xbox or PC; works almost flawlessly for cloud gaming provising you have decent fibre internet speeds.Anything running on the phone native works great with the controller which is extremely comfortable, robust and correct size, an issue with the Nintendo Switch joycons for example.Honestly I would never consider playing proper android games before owning this but now it's like a having a fully powered console. Deffo worth £80.Minor cons would be very slight wiggle as it's not secured with any clips or something, and the phone connector is quite delicate but TBF I haven't had an issue to date.If you want a switch, ps portal or steam deck etc this isn't the same but covers much of the same potential at a fraction of the cost. The fact you don't need Bluetooth and batteries etc is excellent as well, it's effectively a large phone case with gaming controls. Awesome

At first I thought it wasn't working, but once it works it is great.
The setup is confusing and it was difficult to find any information on how to get it working. With my phone (Realme RMX1993) I had to download the app for certain games to work. Before connecting the phone to the controller I have to go to settings, additional settings and enable OTG connection first and each time I use it, otherwise it doesn't work. Until doing this all that was happening was usb charging, and my phone and the app didn't register it being connected. None of the official manuals mentioned this as far as I can tell and I had to find this out on an internet forum.Once it is working it just works with most games straight away. If the game has on screen touch controls only, you can remap them to the physical controls using the Gamesir app. The app has a calibration mode and mode for testing the buttons. Works on most games, even if there's no official controller support. There's macro recording options and auto and turbo fire options. There's 3 modes for Android, Playstation and Xbox (for the live streaming apps) and the colour of the LEDs changes to show which mode you're in. I have only used Android and Xbox mode. There is a button combination to change modes, but it is usually automatic. The buttons, triggers and sticks all feel high quality, finely textured and made from good materials and the controller is very sturdy. It doesn't feel like the phone can fall out or anything. It is gripped and clamped by rubber pads and the USB-C connector has some adjustment to allow for phones of different sizes. The springs are quite strong. The only problem is it is awkward to insert and remove the phone. The USB can angle up a bit so you can plug the phone in then open the clamp to allow it to drop in, then let the clamp close.Apparently it's not designed for phones with a case over them. This probably depends on your phone and case thickness, as the USB can't plug in fully if you have a thick case.I like that there's no noticeable latency, I can charge my phone while using it, and it has a quality feel in the hand. It would be good if it could be used like a standard USB PC controller, but I couldn't get it to work on Steam; the female USB is for pass through phone charging only. It doesn't have Bluetooth, but for me that's fine. There's no batteries inside, it just runs off the phone battery.

Absolutely fantastic
This is a really great sturdy controller, once the phone is in there it feels like they were built together, which is not normally the case with these type of controllers. I use it for Ge-Force now on my phone and once its all fired up it basically turns my phone into a steamdeck. Works great with native android apps too (if they have controller support they will detect it and just work) and also using it with emulators.i have had quite a few of these sort of controllers over the years and this is probably the best one, especially for this price point when compared with some of the razer ones.

Good but far from perfect
While I do think it's probably one of the best controllers for phone gaming, and remote playing on your phone from pc, it's far from perfect. The analog sticks are too loose, making it difficult to be as accurate as with a Xbox controller. And the buttons are so loud and clicky. Some people might like this, but one of the benefits of remote play is that I can play in moments such as the 30 mintues before bed, but the clicking is too loud and 'brittle' to not annoy my wife.

Best and affordable controller
Overall, the G8 Galileo game controller is a fantastic option for anyone looking to enhance their gaming experience. Its combination of comfort, performance, and customizability sets it apart from many competitors in the market. While there are a few minor improvements that could be made—such as additional grip options or more extensive RGB lighting features—the controller delivers on its promise and offers excellent value for money. Whether you're a casual gamer or looking to take your skills to the next level, the G8 Galileo is certainly worth considering.

If you want to play COD Mobile with a Samsung S23 Ultra, don't get this controller
I got this GameSir controller as a replacement for my Backbone controller, as it had stopped working. I use the controller for playing COD Mobile exclusively. I've seen good reviews for the GameSir G8 Galileo on Youtube and other places so I decided to give it a go.Initially, the signs were good. Nice packaging and the controller itself feels very solid and looks good. After setting up the GameSir G8, and using it to play a few matches on COD Mobile, I've decided to return it. It just isn't suited to this particular game. When attempting to fine tune the mapping, I found the GameSir app very difficult to open in COD Mobile. Even after updating everything, it was still a struggle to open it. It seems the app isn't suited to my Samsung S23 Ultra phone. After eventually managing to open the app and fine tuning the mapping of buttons and triggers, it just doesn't work that well. Buttons and triggers can be unresponsive. If one moves quickly between controls, there can sometimes be a lag. The double click on buttons regularly becomes confused. Additionally, the control mapping often doesn't start up correctly, resulting in a failed match and having to restart my phone. It's ended up being a lot more effort than it's worth. This controller may be good for other games, but for COD Mobile, it's poor. I'll be going back to a Backbone controller.

Awesome Controller
Been using this controller for about 2 months on an almost daily basis and I am very happy with this purchase. This product has been used with my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra which fits perfectly, the only niggle I have is that I have to take off my phone case to get my phone to fit to the USB-C connection but that's not a real issue.I have been using this to play Xbox remotely, its basically plug and play and I have experienced no latency issues.Controller feels high quality with a replaceable magnetic faceplate and thumbsticks.Highly recommended.

This is what a telescopic controller should be...
To start with I have tried a few different telescopic controllers, and have fount that this is one of the most comfortable ones I've used. When it comes to gaming, my preferred way to play is big screen TV, comfy sofa to sink into, and my XBOX series X, as I'm a casual console gamer and like to game in comfort. In addition, I have very large hands and thick fingers, so a larger controller is much more comfortable to me. However, since having a baby and the Xbox being in the room he sleeps (we share a house with family), and the only time I can game is when he's asleep, means that I can't play in my preferred way. Since discovering remote playfor my XBOX though, this has been a game changer, allowing me to game when I can. It is clearly different than my preferred way of gaming, but it's still good to have the option to play on my downtime!!With the introduction out of the way, I will get into the details. This is amazing. Period. The fact I can use a case of 1 mm thick and it still works is awesome. The fact that it's a wired connection is fast and snappy, and doesn't affect the lag like Bluetooth controllers can, and the feel is high quality. It has everything you need to play on XBOX, PlayStation and emulators, though I don't do this part, only XBOX remote play. The feel of the co roller is compact enough that it doesn't feel bulky which is a good, but a tiny bit bad which I'll explain. It does feel like a 3/4 size controller. But with me having large hands it still feel a little cramped. Mainly the location of the D-pad and the right stick. They are a little bit too close to left stick and face buttons respectively. This is a tiny issue as I mentioned, as I just work around it by shifting my grip a little. Anyone with small, medium or even slightly large hands will feel comfortable using this, for even long gaming sessions! The sticks are buttery smooth due to the anti friction rings, and the face buttons and D-pad have a weighty pressing feeling, and you know when you've pressed them with the satisfying feedback of each press. The bumpers and triggers are console quality and have a perfect resistance when pressed, and again, you know exactly when you've pressed them as they have great feedback also. There are map able buttons on the hand grips but I don't use them, but they are easy to program and change on the fly should you need to.To summarise, this is an excellent wiece of kit that will absolutely improve your mobile gaming experience ten fold, and is absolutely worth the $79.99 price tag.UPDATE: I've been using this controller for 14 months on a very regular basis, and it has been incredible for that time. The controller has held up very well, the buttons still just as responsive as the day I got it, the connection is still flawless, and feels amazing still. But the other day I came to use it and the pass through charging has stopped working. It has worked every time from day one (with dozens and dozens of times I've pass through charged my phone), but now it has finally gone to sleep.Though this is a negative, it could be the hundreds of hours I've used it that it's worn out, but I just wanted to give my long term update in case you are unlucky enough (like me) to have this happen to you and what to maybe expect after over a year of heavy use.I can still use every other aspect of the controller with no issues, just I have to think ahead about charging my phone before and after a gaming session, as the pass through has stopped working and my phone doesn't charge whilst using the controller anymore.I kept the rating at 5 stars though, as it could be an isolated issue, or a line run problem. But just in case you're a heavy user, this is something to consider, especially when traveling, where charging your phone may be more limited.

High quality, console like, easy recommend
I bought this mainly to play mobile FPS. I come from a console and I recently started playing mobile FPSs like the newly released COD Warzone and Farlight. To be honest I sucked with touch controls and I need something that'll get me the console feel that I'm familiar with, and I'm glad to say that the GameSir G8 has achieved it for me. I'm playin better ( just won 3 games in a row haha) and I'm enjoying my time with this.Bought for an Android phone, no issues so far expect that the GameSir app keeps crashing and I can't map the back buttons.Tldr; if you're looking for a mobile controller for your phone and specifically to play FPS like PUBG, WARZONE AND FARLIGHT etc... get the GamSir G8

Hardware prima, software crappy
