Guard Your ID Identity Protection Stamp Roller Refill (3-Pack), Fits IS-500CM

After using a number of times the inked stamp roller, I appreciated the consistently effective ink action to cover and protect information (and therefore to reduce or eliminate paper shredding). The retractable (and replaceable) inked component of the device is a very practical design.

Best ever purchase. I never throw away any mail that has; my name, address, problem, social security #, or any personal information pertaining to me. Can not afford to have my identity stolen. It can be taken with you, easy to use, covers great, and gives me piece of mind knowing my information is not out there to be used against me. It is small, light, has replacement cartridges and can leave out so is always handy. My trash is now, just that, TRASH. Not another life to be duplicated.

I saw this on an ad somewhere and thought I'd give it a try. We are very conscious of our packaging and all the stupid offers in the mail, so we have shredded many things in the past.Unfortunately, getting the shredding done has become another chore and it will pile up. Add to the fact that shredded paper is not a recyclable item in our area, so it just piles up and then goes into the trash.This little gadget is awesome! Does a great job of basically redacting all your personal info from printed objects, then they can just go into the regular recycle bin! I do notice it doesn't work on certain types of labels that are more "plastic-y", so we just take those off, but almost everything else is fair game. I've also had success at using it on handwritten notes. You can still see the indentation of the pen strokes, but I'm general it's unreadable.It is also somehow, oddly satisfying to run it across a document and like magic you literally can't read it anymore. Very cool!

I haven't used any other Guard Your ID models or brands of similar devices so I can't compare them but this little ink roller seems to do a good job hiding personal information. One roll across a flat surface leaves a good camouflage of ink, as long as the surface is flat though, and even. I did use it to roll over prescription bottle labels and that worked pretty well too but I had to go over some spots twice simply because I was working on a curve. Once I'd done it a couple times though, I was able to do one roll on the bottles and get pretty much the same camouflage effect as on a flat envelope, magazine label, etc.I keep mine on a little shelf on the kitchen counter so that it's easy to grab and use. Otherwise, I fall into the old habit of just throwing things out, maybe tearing a piece of the paper off that contains my info and crumpling it but not being very smart about it. Now I've been using this roller pretty diligently. It's easy and fast.The one issue I have is that it doesn't have a little plastic cover for the bottom, or a little container that will last better than the original cardboard box it came in. I keep it in that box because more than once I must have either not pressed the button on the top hard enough to pull the roller back inside, or else I pressed it again while putting it away without realizing it and the roller ended up leaving ink on something it shouldn't have. So I try to be careful to make sure the roller is retracted and then I sit it in the little box so that any ink that does escape doesn't get on anything it shouldn't. So ya, a little snap on piece of plastic for the bottom to assure the roller is covered up would be nice. Otherwise, I'm happy with it.

Works great. Saves time from shredding everything. Covers info great.

I receive so much in the mail, hard to rid of my name before I recycle. This has hade it much easier and quicker. Ordering refills makes it easy to keep going.

I love this thing for what it does, which is cover up my sensitive information (name, address, phone numbers, etc.). However, if you drop it (on accident of course) it will in fact break into pieces. And unless you know how to put it back together, you are pretty much left with the roller part, which is now being stored in a sandwich baggy because I couldn’t put the holder back together.

As the mail comes in.....roll the name, address, Account number etc...and toss it.So much easier to use...and instant...Its an instant toss into the recycle.Highly recommend.

Ce produit ne caviarde pas vraiment vos informations. Sur les faits, l'information semble bien cachée/caviardée. Regardez le résultat dans une autre position, exemple debout au lieu d'assis, ou avec une lumière différente, et vous pouvez tout lire ce que vous pensiez caviarder. J'utilise donc le ID Guard Stamp plus efficace.
