Works great as a night light for the animals.

Bright
I bought this for my 12x12 gazebo. Plenty of light on the highest setting. We used magnets to attach the solar panel to the roof and we hung it from a hook that is part of the gazebo. We hung it using a plastic chain that I painted black instead of the cable that was supplied.

Useful as a gently lit security light in open spaces
I got this to install on my dock to provide some light for security in case of loss of power at the dock. I live on the east coast in FLorida and storms are annually challenging our electric system. Installment is simple. Simply hang on a carbiner clip above the boat and run the wire to the solar panel attached to the roof eave. With the light being plastic and waterproof everything about this light seems highly resistant to Florida’s marine environment except for one part. While the solar panel frame is aluminum, the bracket holding the panel to the eave is plain old painted steel. I see rust in its future. It would have been great if this was stainless steel instead. The light has three brightness levels. In an enclosed space it seems pretty bright but in an open space like my dock, less so. It adequately illuminates the area for security but isn’t a replacement for my existing dock lights. I’m still playing around with the levels to get the best balance between light level and how long it stays on. The light automatically turns off when the solar panel is exposed to light. The remote is great for turning the light off when I don’t want it competing with other lights since the switch on the light is basically unreachable.

Useful solar light
I had this hanging inside my pergola during the warmer months. I loved being able to sit outside and not have to use my porch lights. Simple to hang.
