I purchased the Dji mini drone and it is probably my favorite drone of all. I also have the skyrover x1 which is a similar drone to the mini 4 pro but with out all the fancy bells and whistles. I would recommend the dji mini pro 4 because of its image quality, flight time & speed , and the durability.

I love this thing except it’s at the bottom of a 250 ft deep glacial lake in Alaska and I live in Texas. I always pushed the limits of the RTH feature which never failed when I dint try and ignore it. Absolutely excellent photos and videos. And really fun. So much that I never wanted to quit. Stability and wind resistance are remarkable when you are close and watch it holding its place but rocking or swaying in the wind and the resulting video looks like it was sitting on a table inside. Use the RTH. It works when you aren’t an idiot!

Great drone

After getting my PArt 107 certificate this was my first drone purchase and I absolutely love it. I was bothered by all the other sellers offering a bunch of extras and jacking up the price. Thankfully, Adorama did do that in their store and I was able to buy the standard Fly More pack minus the ridiculous markup. I purchased Asurion coverage and hope I never have to use it but I had a little reminder when I learned more about the DJI Refresh. I'm not sure which would be better so make sure you do your homework before you purchase because you can only add DJI Refresh within 48 hours of purchasing a new DJI drone. The DJI Fly app will notify you once you have it all activated/installed. The RC-2 controller is what makes this deal sweet. It works with other DJI drones. It also keeps you from dealing with your phone to fly. So no phone batteries dying or notifications/calls while in flight. The only caution I would add is that there are limited instructions in the box. There are videos available that the app points you to. Don't expect to have a huge manual teaching you to fly and operate the drone. Obstacle avoidance does work but with limitations. So be careful. At dusk you will receive a message in the app that obstacle avoidance is disabled due to low light. Believe it and adjust your flying. It also doess not respond to thin objects like wires, thin tree limbs, etc. always keep a visual in it when flying near those objects. Finally... Avoid flying backwards or sideways unless you are in a position to observe the drone in flight and it's surroundings. And definitely don't fly backwards while still zoomed in on a subject/objects. It is hard to hide the distance and if you move back you may be close to an object to the rear of the drone and not realize it. Overall...awesome little drone! Tons of great features.

Have the Mini 2 Pro and it’s been great. Once I saw the obstacle avoidance capabilities, I knew it was time to upgrade and I’m not disappointed. It’s crashed 3 times, all caused by really small branches. If it was summer, leaves would have helped. Drone is fine, no props or lens damaged, I know it’s early and I’m sure it’ll change, but Activetrack 360 doesn’t recognize anything but humans, automobiles and usually boats. But definitely not tractors, which I feel are automobile looking enough, but 4 Pro currently says , nah son, not today. The Return to Home is actually fun to watch as it’s a smart return, not go up to X feet above obstacles and fly right to landing spot. AR lets you see exactly how it’s gonna come in, even gives you a landing icon the shows exactly where it will land. And it’s much more accurate than the Mini 2 is. Like within inches. You don’t actually get 34 minutes of flight time. That’s perfect scenario for drone, indoors, no wind resistance, etc. I’d say close to 23-25 minutes.

The DJI drone arrived timely and in perfect condition. HOWEVER, DJI represented that their lost/replacement program was available for the mini 4 pro. It is not available, probably cancelled at the last moment by DJI, likely related to the federal government refusing to evaluate the "threat to national defense" issue. DJI has made advanced drones that are used by law enforcement, and by various public service applications, and in agriculture and industry. There is no comparable American "consumer hobbyist" drone on the market to compare with DJI products.

The picture is clear. The battery last about 35 minutes. It gives good warning when the battery is low and comes back to the home spot. It has one touch take off and landing. It goes about 2500 feet before it gives a warning that it is starting to loose picture signal, and that is through a lot of tress. Love it! I'm 59 years young and I can operate it.
